this guy seems like a bit of an idiot to me. You have to reraise him. If he is the weak player he looks like, then he probably has a suited ace. So either he has A9 and is sucking money out of you, or he is making a crappy semi-bluff with Ax of spades.Reraise him and find out

NO NO NO.The first hand doesn't mean much. And FWIW, don't cbet the first hand - it's a really awful spot to cbet, and 3bet larger to 1.40.In the second hand, call the flop raise and re-evaluate turn, calling down on most safe boards.

Yah even in position you should be 3-betting more PF in the first hand, about $1.40, and betting this flop is a massive spew imo.Second hand i'd just call and have another annoying decision on the turn

Yup. Don't reraise for info, it's stupid. Just call him, and see what he does. Reraising doesn't do anything but get you shoved on by his entire range. Reraise more in the first hand preflop.

I like everything you've said. I have been re-evaluating when to make c-bets as my default was like 110% of the time. I realize this is a bad spot for a C-bet because the board is too wet he is not folding often enough to make the bet +EV. So I'm glad to see I'm on the right track. Also I did think that my 3-bet was a little small. In the second hand I re-popped it and he just folded.
