PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em, $0.25 BB (5 handed) Poker-Stars Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: FlopTurnRiver Cards)Button ($25.65)SB ($48.80)Hero ($25)UTG ($60.55)MP ($25.90)Preflop: Hero is BB with ts.gif, td.gif. UTG calls $0.25, 1 fold, Button calls $0.25, SB completes, Hero raises to $1.5, UTG calls $1.25, Button calls $1.25, SB calls $1.25.Flop: ($6) 4s.gif, 8d.gif, 7s.gif(4 players)SB checks, Hero bets $4.5, UTG calls $4.50, Button calls $4.50, SB calls $4.50.Turn: ($24) 3d.gif(4 players)SB bets $29, Hero ???Final Pot: $72dont have stats for the players, but it wasnt really a limp-heavy table and there was a good amount of raises.maybe should have raised more PF, 2$ possibly?even though this is an ugly flop which one or more of my opponents could have hit hard, my line of thinking was that i would get more information as to the strength of their hand by betting out as well as not giving any free cards. also im assuming sets and two pairs are way more likely to raise than to just call, given the possible draws.i thought check/calling wasnt really an option since almost every turn-card would put me into an even worse spot. the only reason for checking for me was to see what the others do and give up the pot on any ugly turn if its checked around or raise if somebody weak-leads and gets calls.but down the line i really thought it was either check/fold or lead and reevaluate after their responses. i get called in 3 places, which seemed kind of weak.the 3 on the turn is basically the best card in the deck aside from the 2 i thought. it didnt really change anything other than giving 33 a set or two-pairing 43, wasnt really scared of 73, 83.56 would have had the nutstraight already.however...SB overcalls while closing the flopaction and insta-shoves on the turn...that really confused the hell out of me. is this a semi-bluff often enough to make a call +EV? also considering the other players behind me.

My first thought was that this was a flopped straight or set that decided to quit screwing around when the board double-flushdrawed. My 2nd thought is that you have no redraws to a made straight and that you should fold.
