NoBBiR 0
Villain is a smart, capable player who is a IRL friend of mine, we went to High School together. He knows his poker stuffs, posts on 2+2. He's very capable of doing this with a combo-draw, but also the donk-bet (which I rarely see him do and he hasn't done so far in the match) scares me. Q8, 86 are obv in his range as well as 88, 66, big combo draws, etc. Should we be looking for a fold, or is this a "I HAVE KIGNS HEADS-UP DUED, ALL-EEEENNN!" moment..10/.25 Live, HUHero is Button with $33Villain is BB with $17Hero has K , K , raises to $0.75Villain calls.Flop:Q , 8 , 6 :heart:Pot: $1.50Villain bets $1.Hero raises to $3.25.Villain over-shoves.Blah. Temporary Nuts 1
Should we be looking for a fold, or is this a "I HAVE KIGNS HEADS-UP DUED, ALL-EEEENNN!" moment.Say it aloud as well. But tretty much, even though this is a gross spot. Remember, strong donk bets are almost always looking for bet-3bet, especially when they rarely do it ... and by strong i mean everything except retarded blocker bets. dspadez 0
i think you shoulda raised more preflop and i think you shoulda raised him more, um as played, i guess call...... i mean idk how profitable it will be to fold every time this play comes up. i doubt he has a set cause i think hed smooth call, but two pair is a good possibility, youre still live and he showes qj then good for you. CobaltBlue 662
I'd think he'd 3-bet QQ/88/66 pre-flop unless he's particularly passive. Some good players will donkbet those...but not as often HU. I think Q8/Q6/86 are the only hands we're really worried about...and we've got some chance of outdrawing them if that's the case. I think this is a big draw quite often...some sort of flush/straight draw or the 6dxd (for some reason...this really struck me initially as 6dxd). So, I think we do need to call the shove. I think one question that you need to ask before you raise the flop..."What will I do if he re-raises?" That question of anticipation should go through your head every time you take an action. (I'm certainly guilty of not always thinking about it.)
No_Neck 0
folding overpairs should be kept to a minimum heads up against very few opponents, I can't fold them playing 6 max... so i really shouldn't be talking
BellaireDrew 2
I think this a clear call, with the range of hands he is pushing here we have enough equity to call.

If you want to get the money in, then raise, if you're wary and think you can find a fold with kings, call.If he's a good player as you say he is there shouldn't be a hand in his range he's donkbet->calling... so the only other result we should expect to see is a fold, and if we're only raising kings to play the times we're getting a fold... we're turning an overpair into a bluff, which seems a little ridiculous to me.That being said, I laugh, because I have kings, and get the money in. Sheiky 0
Against a halfway decent HU player this should pretty much be a snap call.

I think I figured out what it is.Yeah, I puke/called and faded the world. Go me!The other important thing is that while he might not reraise 66 (I would imagine he RRs 88 and QQ most of the time), it's unlikely that he would ever defend Q6 or Q8, so that really means that if you're beaten currently, it's almost always by 66 or 68, but there are just too many combo draws to be pushing. So yeah, snapcallaments. DonkSlayer 1
Against a halfway decent HU player this should pretty much be a snap call.Really? I think it's super, super close. Jd9d, 7d9d, 109dd and J10dd we're a slight fav, but not a better fav than we are a worse dog if he has 76dd. We're also way behind sets and combos of 2 pair. If that's the range we assign to him (hero didn't mention his image or what he thinks his friend thinks of him), is it really a SNAPcall?

Snamuh 0
Definitely don't fold once you raise. Your decision doesn't come when he shoves over your raise. Your decision comes when you decide to raise. Raise/folding is horrible so don't raise if you won't call a shove. He only has like 2/3 of a stack to begin with so I'm definitely never folding. Tons of likely draws. Snap-call.
