The CO was a loose player who was playing practically every hand, and never folding to any re-raise. The UTG much tigher. After their calls on the flop I wanted to put the breaks on considering I'm sure one of them had the Kd or Ad. Once I turned the 3rd duece I switched to defending my hand against their draws. My play on the river was flat out terrible, as my all-in bet did nothing if the CO missed his draw, and eliminated me if he had a better hand. He was somewhat of a calling station, so there was a chance he would call with a weaker hand all the way down. What would you guys suggest a much better approach to this hand would've been? Metternich 0
check/fold the flop.
jday561 0
yea why would you bet that flop out? c/f definitely..
copernicus 0
I dont mind the flop bet with bottom pair, overcard to the board and 3rd nut flush draw. Once thats called and the set turns I would bet smaller. It only takes 1000 to charge a flush draw, it keeps the pot small in case theres a flopped flush or turned boat. Check river and hope for a cheap showdown, fold to a big bet.

HighwayStar 8
Up to turn is fine. I check/fold or bet/fold that flop and aggression is always good.Bet less on turn, maybe even check. Pot is 3350, UTG has 2k, you/button have about 5.5k.By just calling UTG is either a moron calling with the draw or very confident he has the best hand. If you checkUTG shoves, Button calls, easy fold.UTG shoves, Button folds, close but probably call.UTG checks, button checks, re-evaulate on river, pot is kept small this way and you won't get committed.UTG checks, button bets...horrible spot, read dependent but I probably fold.If you bet, bet about 1k, UTG has to shove/fold.UTG folds, button calls, reevaluate river but probably check/fold.UTG shoves, button calls, call.UTG shoves button calls, again horrible, you have ridiculous odds to call. I probably call and check/fold river which doesn't boat me up. Button calling here is a horrible play with any hand on that board but there's nothing you can do about that.UTG shoves, button repops, foldDunno how good my analysis is, not sure how to use your reads here. Important to note how passive the players have been, are they TAG and LAG or tight/passive and loose/passive.No idea what TWO people can show up with here.Ad makes sense for one, flopped nut flush also makes sense for one they can';t both have these hands. Kd/K high flush just about makes sense I guess. Can't see sets just calling on that flop but you never know.
MitchellC 0
If you are up against 5 opponents why bet so much on the flop? Bet $250 the min bet size to slow down your opponents (hopefully) and to see the turn card cheap. I'm not even sure your rooting for a diamond on the turn. When the turn is the 2--you have a set--why not move all in on the turn since you aren't going to fold to a raise and why not try to win the pot now. When youre ahead you dont want to chase the draw away, and when youre behind you dont want to lose more than what is a reasonable charge for the draw.
jmbreslin 0
I don't lead that flop. You're not chasing away the Ad or Kd and your BP isn't going to be worth a whole lot here. All you're doing with the bet is bloating the pot for someone else to hit the better flush. This is one of those situations where aggression isn't going to accomplish anything. I check/call the flop. I check/call the flop.Youre not chasing the Ad Kd but youre chasing a lot of other hands, and the Ad, Kd arent necessarily out there. You will take it down right away a lot of the time, your Qd will be the top flush card fairly often, and when the flush doesnt come in you still have 5 outs to a probable winner. Its thin, but profitable to lead here imo.
