It seems to me like gus didnt change gears at all when he got heads up vs david chui with a 20m to 5m chip advantage. Chui seems to play a perfect style to combat the agressive bullys. Gus seemed to be winning all the small pots but losing all the big ones. Anyone go watch this? Im thinking this win might set off a big wsop for chui, and gus as well, for all you fantasy players.

im still not sold that many of these people that get these big online scores are winners when it comes to the live game, which, by the way, is real poker.

Didnt Gus get his money in good for essentially the tourney on the last hand? Plus what was the HU match 50 hands? Maybe Gus just kept missing the flop and Chiu hit everything. Hard to say how either of them was playing based on 50 hands is all im saying
What if the 'HOKEY POKEY' really IS what it's ALL about?

that thread is more of an update thread and not really talking about strategy, like imo if gus plays his fast game vs chui he is gonna lose quite alot cuz chui is good enough not to get run over.

Someone said 50hands heads up is a small sample-size, well gus's style helps create that small sample size, his style is asking for luck to play a bigger role. Im just saying this bc he seemed to raise pf way too frequently heads up. The blinds were huge and just a few misteps can add up.

I'll say this as nice as possible...

1) It's "Chiu"
2) Pretty much everything that I bolded is factually incorrect.

You cant judge how either of them played based on 50 hands, esp without seeing the cards.

How do you know that gus didnt raise it up a ton with quality hands and Chiu kept calling and flopping 2 pair. Maybe Gus played absolutly amazing but the cards just wouldnt cooperate. And again I point out that he got his money in good for the tourney on the last hand.

Youre being completely results oriented
What if the 'HOKEY POKEY' really IS what it's ALL about?
