when you play plo you get dealt hands such that if you were playing omaha8 you would have taken every dollar on the table and then some and then when you play omaha8 the opposite thing happens?i've also noticed this with stud and stud/8. is there a reason for this?

ok a more serious question. im trying to learn games besides plo8 because as far as limits go by the time you get to 1/2 the games are often not worth playing and if you expect to ever be able to play like 5/10 or higher forget about it there just aren't enough games (I don't consider playing against gass_u, hoss_u, davebreal, predator, gameover and thegenuis much of a game, or at least not one that i'll ever be good enough for)in plo how far can you go before games start to get "hard". it seems like the number of people playing has exploded recently which means that a whole lot of them are going to be weak. im thinking this is the new gravy train to get on, even though i might be getting on it a bit late. am i right?

I played all games from $25 max to $200 max and it doesn't get hard at any level. It just gets more aggro. $25 is the hardest to me and $100 max is my favourite level so far.The maing difference between a decent PLO player and a good PLO player is how he acts and plays while losing. Everyone plays good while their draws are hitting and hands are holding up. It is the downswing that makes a player good. Your play while losing determines if you are a winning or losing player. He , who tilts less and plays better than others while losing , has a huge edge.

Back when I was playing outside of my bankroll, I played in some really fishy 2/4 and 3/6 PLO games... The downside is that there is rarely more than 1 or 2 tables (if any) playing at those levels at some times during the week.
