ricardob 0
I've been searching for good books for limit sng strategy but can't find any.Sugestions?
potatoman 0
My guess is such a book does not exist. There are good books on limit poker obviously and good books, articles on sng strategy. You'd just need to get comfortable with basic sng strategy, which, IMO, is similar no matter what game your playing, and figure out what differences that may exist between a nl sng strategy and a limit sng strategy. I've no doubt there are some, especially when it comes to bubble play. However, if you play good limit poker and correctly change your hand selection as you gte closer to the money, that should be enough to have a significant edge.Your best bet is to find someone who grinds these things and get some advice from them. Also, post hands in the strategy section.GL!

RabidTortuga 0
That's probably a good point. To play $5 sitngo's you should have at least a $100 roll. With a modest roi of 10%, you'd be making .50 a sng, or $2 an hour if you 4-tabled them well. A better roi would be a better hourly rate, obviously. If you took the $100 and played .25/.50 cash games, 4-tabled, and made 1.5bb/100, you'd also make about $2 an hour.I have to think that the blinds going up in sitngo's would really hurt a solid Limit hold-em player alot, though, whereas you never have to worry about that at cash games.I also think the cash game skills you develop would serve you better as you moved up and progressed. But hey, if you have fun, go for it. I would expect basic LHE strategy to work fine in the early stakes (i.e., you have more than 12 bets in front of you), but you'd have to hurry up a bit and play position harder when the blinds increased. David_Nicoson 1
The Full Tilt book has a chapter on limit tournaments. That's pretty close.

mooncons 0
It is definitely easier to make the jump from Cash games to SnG's rather than vice versa. So cash game it a bit.
Jam-Fly 8
Why on earth would you want to play limit SNGs? There's a chapter on limit satelittes in one of TJs books if that's any help. I wouldn't rate it very highly though.
ricardob 0
Why on earth would you want to play limit SNGs? There's a chapter on limit satelittes in one of TJs books if that's any help. I wouldn't rate it very highly though.Because I've only recently started to play and am still trying out the several forms of poker as I continue to learn the game because I like to try things out without being a losing player.Today for example played some sng HU for the first time. Thanks for the tip on the book.
