Shark527 0
$5 PLO tourney on Stars. Down to around 40 players left out of 180. Table has become really tight but still playing well. Been trying to dabble into a few PLO tournies more lately and trying to get a general pool of thoughts on this. PokerStars (8 handed) Poker-Stars Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: FlopTurnRiver)Preflop: Hero is MP2 with T, J, 7, J. SB posts a blind of 150. UTG raises, 6 folds, BB calls.Flop: 9, Q, Q(2 players)BB checks, UTG bets, BB folds.Final Pot: I can't convert the hand the way that I wanted too. I thought about calling to see a flop but I figured given my stack size any good flop would probably commit me. If the 7 in my hand was an 8/9 I probably would have called. If this were a cash game I might have raised the flop thinking his small lead was a scared KK/AA. Was I right in just folding preflop or should I have tried to catch a good board and see what happens? And then how to continue with the hand?
bdc30 0
wow that converter is all kinds of fkd.I'd probably raise preflop (I'm not sure where you fit in to this, or if it's a limit or pot limit tourney).I might peel one on the flop (depending again on the bet amount) I'z confused
Shark527 0
Try again, if it doesn't work this time I just don't know what to do about it.PokerStars (8 handed) Poker-Stars Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: FlopTurnRiver)Preflop: Hero is MP2 with T, J, 7, J. bdc30 0
Wow, you at minimum have to see a flop here. I don't hate flat calling the UTG raiser. Then I'm putting his ass all in on the flop that came down, hoping he's got aces.
Shark527 0
Like I said I'm trying to dabble into PLO tournies a little bit and definitely would have called if it were a cash game and likely raise flop......Just trying to learn to tighten up a bit because of a tourney setting. Ended up 3rd outa 180 players, best PLO cash so far.
