Just walking through Walmart and saw Daniel's new Canadian Poker chip set at Walmart today. Nicely packaged, may be a bit pricey for Walmart customers since they sell cheaper sets too.Gary Killops

Walmart sucks, don't shop there :D
Last night I stayed up late playing poker with Tarot cards. I got a full house and four people died.

Is it better than the Howard Lederer set I saw over at Costco the other day?

It is a little bit more expensive than some of the other sets because the quality of the chips are superior.

Daniel,Given how socially conscious you seem to be, I'm surprised you would sell your products at Walmart. I understand you are also a businessman, and therefore need to sell your chips at the nation's biggest retailer, but are you familiar with Walmart's track record: discrimination against women, discrimination against people of color, paying illegal immigrants substandard wages, forcing overtime hours without paying people for them?I don't mean to be hyper-critical, but just wanted to make sure you were aware of these things.

...paying illegal immigrants substandard wages...
um, if walmart highered illegal immigrants, they would have huge legal problems. there is absolutely no way they can pay illegal immigrants substandard wages because they can't write them checks--and i highly doubt someone will convince management to pay them under the table, let alone complain about getting paid poorly

You're selling the chips at Walmart? That just completely devalues them IMO.

So the answer to my question (which was deleted) about your integrety vs distrubuting your product via WalMart is that no, you don't care how WalMart treats thier customers and employees?

They are also serious culprits when it comes to unfair business practices. They'll set up shop in small towns with lower prices than all competitors, unfairly skewing the consumer market, and then raise prices when their competitors fall by the wayside. They create local monopolies in many instances (this is particularly a problem in rural America). Walmart is no free market/ capitalism icon. It's a retail robber baron tycoon. Everything that's bad about corporate corruption is exemplified by Walmart.

OK - don't spend your money there. If you want Daniel's poker chip set, buy it else where. Now if you're saying that you WON'T buy Daniel's product because Wal-Mart is selling it, that's just F-ed up.Also, make sure you're not wearing Nike's, Old Navy clothing, Levis, watching a television, listening to something on a portable CD player, using a cell phone, etc. or you too are supporting the "un-American" bastards you are so adamant about in your postings.I echo the sentiment - GET A LIFE!!

I am happy to see Daniel is selling chips at Walmart. It shows me he doesn't buy into every liberal kook theory. Walmart employs alot of elderly and mentally challenged people. They give these folks a chance when others will not. How many of these types of people do you see working at mom and pop shops. None. Walmart gives these great Americans a chance when others won't. I know some would like to keep these folks dependant on the government so they can get their votes. I will buy a set as soon as it is availible in the states.
In this present crisis government is not the solution to our problem, government is the problem.

APPLAUSE, APPLAUSE APPLAUSE!!!!!!!!!And what was the comment about not hiring minorities???? WRONG!!!! If the poster means that they are not hiring minorities as managers of stores. WRONG!!!!! maybe he means a lack of minorites in their HQ?? MAYBE!!!! But if that is his barometer, then don't buy Dell, Apple, SONY, any Proctor & Gamble products, any Kimberly Clark products, don't use any of the major phone companies for long distance, don't eat Kelloggs cereals, the list goes on and on.Liberal Puke!
