I limped the button here, which I never do, because I felt like raise into the BB who is short with 45s was silly, but I was willing to play a pot with both blind players with my hand OTB. MikeBauer26 0
I like the preflop call in position.I think flop and turn bets are maximizing our EV assuming, that we are holding the best hand. -> SB is getting poor odds to call on the turn when he's drawing with an overpair (with/without a spade) or any AQ (with/without a spade). Two suggestions:- I sometimes tend to put the smallstack all in on these kind of flops. They will call with almost anything but this is probably scaring away a drawing SB in a hand where we have position. - How about making the flop raise a little smaller (1.50). The Pot will be about 5.sth then on the turn and we can shove here. It's a bit more "play it save" and hence possibly kills value in the long run.
d0c 0
With PF stats of 48 and 37 it's hard to make a case for trying to steal blinds unless fold to CBet stat is high >75%. My initial thought would be to fold PF and look for premium hands to bet for value against them. But playing OTB with pretty looking SC against obv donks does have its merits. Meh.Postflop play looks good. Overpairs, any Q, A or K pays you off. As no reraises on flop then set is very unlikely for SB.
mtdesmoines 2
I think the hand is fine. I especially like NOT raising from the button because of stack awareness.
NoBBiR 0
I think the hand is fine. I especially like NOT raising from the button because of stack awareness.I thought you would like that, mister "my biggest leak is stack awareness!" :)I shoved the turn, both instacalled, SB had QxKs and BB had As8x, so I was basically fading every card in the deck, and the river was the 10d.SHIP. Craigdog 0
standard, if he's holding QQ that sucks but your stacking AQ,KQ with 1 spade, Kings, Aces & jacks if he's a donk, I would prefer only 2 spades out there but I don't see how you get away from this one.
