I won't whine about the the hand in detail, but this has just been bugging me because it was the hand that finally busted me at the end of a really slow night. We are playing no-limit, 2/5 blinds, and it's fairly aggressive. I am the big blind with A :D T :) , three people limp in, so I decide to check and see what happens. The flop is A 3 5 rainbow. I bet $15 (into a $20 pot) two players fold, the last one raises the minimum to 30. I put this guy on a weaker ace, because in the past he has raised more with his stronger hands (two-pairs, sets, etc.), so I figure he is just trying to see where he is at with his ace. I give him the answer by pushing all in for my remaining $140. At this point he pauses, thinks for a minute or so, picks up his cards, thinks, almost mucks (now I know my read was correct), then decides to call. I tell him, "Well I've just got an ace." He says, "Me too, but I've got a straight draw," and flips over A4. I feel good at this point, but the turn is a 4, so he wins with two-pair.Obviously I wasn't too thrilled by that, but going over the hand in my head later I figured that when I moved all in he had to put me at LEAST on a better ace. So that gives him 4 outs to his straight, and 3 outs to two-pair. So with 7 outs he is worse than a 2:1 dog. The pot was $205 with my raise in there, and it is $140 for him to call, so that is considerably less than 2:1 from the pot, so clearly he made a bad call, right?I'm not looking for sympathy, but actually want to know if my calculations are close and if my thinking is correct here. I'm trying to take odds into account in my game more, but it's kind of complicated sometimes.. I don't claim to have a rock solid no-limit strategy either, so if anyone has any comments as to how I played it overall, feel free to reply. Thanks.
