Can anyone top this bad beat. I'm playing 10/20 limit holdem . flop trip 8's with pocket 8's my opponent calls with J8. I'm not knocking his play as it was standard but wow when J came on the turn raising war starts and the river brought another J. When he turned over his J8. I thought what are the chances he wins that on the flop. With no straight of flush draw it comes out to 332 to 1!! Not knocking his play as I would of called with mid pair on the flop but its kind of funny that for him to have the correct pot odds the pot would have to be 3,332 dollars to his 10 dollar call. I ended up losing a pot of over 300 dollars. Thats poker.
i lost as 332 to 1 favorite

CD: Is there a limit that makes you play differently?
Phil Ivey: I haven’t seen one yet. I always want to play as high as I possibly can. I’d like to play $8,000-$16,000 . You can’t be afraid to lose. There may be some players who have the ability to play higher and could play and compete in our games, but they are afraid of losing money. They feel that they don’t need it. I say, “Well, what’s the point of living?” If you can do it, and you believe that you can do it, I say go for it.

I can top it and so can a lot of people. Many of us have lost when we are 989-1 to win
