Push preflop. JJ isnt a hand you want to muck around with post flop, but is very likely to be ahead. Isolating the good player is important even if you cant knock him out. As played push flop. His bet could be semi-bluff or more likely a CB. Theres no reason to believe that youre facing QQ+.

Yeh i realised after i posted this lol, the tourney in general was very deepstacked for a home game but this hand wasn't paticulary.For those who say shove, is UTG really C-betting with air into 3 players, two of whom are random call stations? Interesting that you came up with a range that exactly equals the equity you need to breakeven on a push! Since I think this range is a little tight I still like the push. I would go with TT+, 88,33,AKo,AKs,AQo,AQs,KQhh,QJhh,AJhh,AT.Note he is only CBing into 2 players, not 3. Not a great play but one a lot of players will still make. That shifts things dramatically putting you on a 53:47 lead.

I really think you have to push preflop. Your flat calling is inviting additional callers behind so you'd possibly be playing JJ OOP against multiple opponents with a shorter stack.

I would go with TT+, 88,33,AKo,AKs,AQo,AQs,KQhh,QJhh,AJhh,AT.Note he is only CBing into 2 players, not 3. Not a great play but one a lot of players will still make. That shifts things dramatically putting you on a 53:47 lead.

My mistake, there must have been another caller PF because he was definitely betting into 3 players.

I think you should definitely be pushing this PF with an M of less than 10. Since only the top two places pay and you are short, you have very little equity and so you must increase your equity as quickly as possible if you intend to cash.As played, I suspect that even though (from the post I read by coper) shoving is break even for your cEV I'd bet it isn't break even $EV.

I'm not actually the hero in this hand FWIW, i was UTG.I think 'hero' should have insta shoved PF as well.I had AA here, 'hero' thought for a long time before shoving, though he said afterwards he felt folding was probably best there, and i agreed.
