I'm not sure where to put this, but I'm a bit pissed off right now (not on tilt, but still pissed). The scenario is that the board reads J-9-10-Q. There's no chance for a flush. Guy to my right bets $1.50 (about the size of the pot). I raise to $3 and the other guy in the hand folds. River brings an A and it's obvious we're going to split. I tell him that, since it's obvious we're going to split, just check it down so we don't run up the rake. If I'm wrong, I'm willing to sacrifice the extra money because I'm very sure we're going to split. This ****** goes all in. Another $30. He then types in, "Then just fold." WTF? Seriously, what kind of dumbass volunteers to lose money? This just pisses me off...
argh!!!!!

Did you consider he could have an 8? And is trying badly to get you to fold?
Last night I stayed up late playing poker with Tarot cards. I got a full house and four people died.

Yes yes I hate that, I mean I play limit but it happens all the time there, mainly when there are three people on the river and we all have the same straight. They just lose us money on the rake. However when you have the nut low and high in O8 and the other guy just has the low, sometimes he will keep raising to get 1/4 of the pot when it should be obvious to him you are splitting, that is awesome.

He probably went all-in just because you said something. He probably thought you had the 8, and wanted to try and showdown for free just in case he didnt have the K. Try and look at it from his point of view. Would you believe anything someone said at the poker table? He might of bet on the river anyways without you saying anything, but he may not have gone all-in.
