Guest Anonymous
Just curious as to what music you guys and gals are listening to these days. I (a Beatlemaniac) am listening to Maroon 5 this week. Also, do you guys listen to music when you play?

Metaphysician 0
When I play it's piano music all the way. Claude Debussy, some Beethoven. Sometimes Norah Jones.Maroon 5 is a very good band, but I prefer more relaxing music for playing poker.

groinal 0
Wow - pleasantly surprised by the good taste of u guys! :)I dont usually listen to music whilst playing but if I do it's usually Steely Dan, Joni Mitchel or something decent that isn't going to take focus away from the poker too much
Munky 0
I listen to a lot... I prefer (While playing) listening to Classical, Techno and for some reason, I can't lose if listening to Canned Heat by Jamiroquai... it's the song that makes rushes last forever...
DKE_XP120 0
I listen to alot of emo while playing, Alot of "Taking Back Sunday" or "Brand new" usually keep me playing pretty solid. But when its early in a low buy in tourney I listen to faster punk such as Finch or My Chemical Romance.... Puts me in the mood to play a little more aggresive and build some chips early for survival

seventwo-offsuit 0
its all about the led zeppelin and queen.
Pupsta 0
I'm kickin' it to some Shinedown, Third Eye Blind, Theory of a Deadman, Socialburn, Puddle of Mudd, anything modern rock pretty much. Really been digging A Perfect Circle - Passive while i'm playing lately.
DiverDown4 0
i like to listen to tunes when i play but im not a fan of it, if anything i like to tone it down a bit because blairing some Van Halen will definately distract me. Actually its a theory that listening to classical music makes you think better, who knows?
theresa113 0
When I am playing online, normally I am listening to my son play guitar and write songs in the background. Some nights, it is OK, other nights it is tedious as he is writing a song and playing a rift over and over. Tonight, while he was at work, I was listening to my Melissa Auf Der Maur CD. She use to be the bassist for Hole and then Smashing Pumpkins. Her solo album is great! I love the songs "Taste You" and "I'll be Anything you Want". "Followed the Waves" is also pretty good. Here is a link to her site and her videos:http://aufdermaur.com/video.html
KDawgCometh 2
when I'm online it usually jazz or some good classic rock. Quadrophenia but sometimes I get too into that, oh well
theresa113 0
Really been digging A Perfect Circle - Passive while i'm playing lately. My sister gave my son a Perfect Circle CD. My son would say, Hey mom, check out this song. I knew all of the lyrics. He was wondering how in the world could I know these songs. They were all cover songs and remakes from other bands. Do they do anything original? Just wondering. I wasn't too crazy with what they did to the songs. They sounded more butchered than remade.
Guest XXEddie
Just curious as to what music you guys and gals are listening to these days. I (a Beatlemaniac) am listening to Maroon 5 this week. Also, do you guys listen to music when you play?I only listen to music when Im playing online. You have to see the action online. Live games, its best not to wear them because it sometimes holds up the game with, "What did he do, he raise?" But when I do listen it depends on my mood. I got a nice mix of things from tech n9ne to perfect circle to green day to korn...just depends

They have two other albums that I know of. They are both great. The first is Mer de Noms and the second is Thirteenth Step.A Perfect Circle is a side project of Maynard James Keenan who is also the lead singer of Tool. You'll notice the similarities. Frightening. Talented, but also frightening.I usually don't listen to music while playing since it often has the same effect drinking does: I want to have more fun so I start playing with marginal hands in situations where I shouldn't, bluffing in games where you can never get everyone to fold, generally losing money in any way I can.On the occasions where I do listen to something while playing it's usually Dream Theater, A Perfect Circle, or the Red Hot Chili Peppers.
