Getting close to the money bubble Villain is pretty loose passive won't fold A2 with any chance at low.

Full Tilt Poker
Pot Limit Omaha Hi/Lo Tournament
Blinds: t250/t500
8 players
Converter

Stack sizes:
UTG: t5708
UTG+1: t3100
MP1: t6030
MP2: t16716
CO: t6181
Button: t6380
SB: t19334
Hero: t16078

Pre-flop: (8 players) Hero is BB with ah.gif 2h.gif 8c.gif jc.gif
6 folds, SB calls t250 (pot was t750), Hero raises to t1500, SB calls t1000 (pot was t1500).

Flop: jh.gif th.gif 7d.gif (t3000, 2 players)
SB checks, Hero bets t3000, SB calls t3000 (pot was t6000).

Turn: 8d.gif (t9000, 2 players)
SB checks, Hero bets t9000, SB calls t9000 (pot was t18000).

River: kc.gif (t27000, 2 players)
SB is all-in t5834, Hero ?????

Is this an easy call getting huge odds with only 2nd and 4th pair for tourney life?

Nah this is a cry and let it time down on you fold. You've still got a workable stack here.

If I fold, I have ~ 2600 with the blinds at 250-500, this pot is for the massive chip lead with ~ 30 players left.

How did your 2nd and 4th pair fair against his straight?

Did you call, after investing so much in the Pot its hard to do so?
As the previous poster said he probably has a straight, which was made on the turn, otherwise he would not have called your large bet on that street.
The Queens we use would not excite you.

No, I folded, and he showed AK45 for top pair, drawing at the gutshot, 2nd nut flush, and the A4 low, hence the post. I think I made a mistake, in that I basically gave up any chance at winning the tourney by folding and leaving myself with 5 BBs, but I just couldn't fathom a way that I was ahead. I bubbled, where if I make this call, I think I cruise to the FT.

By the way, I'm mostly a PLO Hi player, but I've played two of these tourney's the last few days and, they seem like they have huge profit potential. Plays like this guy made are pretty common. I think I'll be giving them a shot more often.

Ya, I'd say the profit potential is there.

Funny play by your opponent - weak calls on the flop and turn, interesting river move.

That's the sort of player you'd like to find in a cash game and start making notes on him.
