Kendren 1
I think you could. All you had invested when it was $30 to you was your BB, you have a bet and a raise in front on a monosuited board. Swallow your pride, say dammit I should have raised, and fold.
econ_tim 0
You should raise the jacks most of the time preflop. Once the flop comes and its $30 to you, you don't have enough to money to push out a flush draw, although you're a big favorite over someone with just one heart. Your decision depends on your read here, but with a pot-sized bet and then a big reraise, there's a good chance you're beat. Still, your only options are push or fold, and I think folding would have higher expectation in this situation.

Silly String 0
You should have folded faster than a laundomat run by illegal-immigrants.

Devilkin 0
Yep the big mistake is not raising preflop.Once you hit your set, this is very hard to get away from, since if the board pairs, you have the boat.Pushing all in is WAYYYY too agressive after a raise and reraise - you have to put an opponent on a made flush after this reraise. At this point, your only hopes are another J, or a pairing of the board. So, you are now basically on the draw. Think of it like this - if you had say, AQ after the flop that contains two , would you push? Because thats very similar to what you are doing here - hoping for an improvement to your hand. You have just about as many outs (7 - one J, 3A, 3-3s) as ao OESD - would you push all in on an OESD against a made hand? I hope not.You have to lay this one down - unless you held the J of that suit.Hard, I know, but you learned the hard way why.Dev
bdc30 0
Yep the big mistake is not raising preflop.Hard, I know, but you learned the hard way why.DevYep---I've chalked it up to a $50 lesson...The preflop raise, even of $10-15, would HOPEFULLYhave pushed out the 4 6 hand.(but in some games, you just never know)
Nutcracker 0
Well, I'd probably have to fold here, though I'd move all in if I had raised pot preflop like I normally would with jacks in the bb. In this case, the pot was small from the preflop action and you are likely up against a flush, so folding is ok.Hindsight being 20/20 though, I'd call this. You are about 36% to win the hand (given the Kx didn't pair the board), and you have 2 others in the pot. This is +EV, even though the equity edge is tiny.
spacoli 0
"(and are PP J's not the WORST hand in the game??)"The ABSOLUTE worst!!! Pokertracker just laughs at me when I sort my w/l by hand...I think JJ is 1,2, and 3rd in terms of $ lost.I have started playing them as any other medium pp, which is what they are to me.
