pezeveng 207
Iam in the Dessert biz I have a cake order for Sunday the customer ordered a cake with Happy St Paddy's Day on it. Because they ordered it over the phone I didn't want to sound like an idiot and ask for the spelling is it St Paddy's Day or St. Patty's Day. Both come up on google.

Both spellings are acceptable, call the customer back and ask which way they want it spelled. For fuck's sake.

speedz99 145
I think it comes down to the fact that "Paddy" is short for "Patrick" while "Patty" is short for "Patricia". Patrick was a Patrick not a Patricia, so it's Paddy not Patty. People assume it's "Patty" because of the "t" in "Patrick", but it's just not correct. Now how hard was that? I took speedz advice.Smart move, soldier.Google:"St Patty's Day" - 1,190,000 results"St Paddy's Day" - 236,000 resultsWithout the quotation marks St Patty's Day still has over double as many hits.GOOD LUCKThat means nothing.
