I think we could do a lot with this topic i would be very interested to see what the more experienced players have to say about this topic the only catch is that it has to be from the wsop or wpt. we could also use the worst bluff too either one is fine. thank you.[/code]

2003 WSOP Scotty Ngyuen bets 12k and says 21, someone raises to 40k (can't remeber who), scotty pauses and re-raises 100k.He tells the guy that he can't afford to call.He folds and scotty shows an 8 3o (the guy folded a pair of aces) - Scotty says, oops i thought this was black jack (hence the 21) shows the crowdhis hand and shouts 100 grand on this hand, thats no limit baby! :D 8)I think thats how it went down.

the guy was humberto brenes, and he layed down A 10 pre-flop.and no, best bluff goes to daniel. final table of plaza tourney. has has A 7 off against freedy deeb's A K board is K 6 2 4 4 (3 hearts) Freedy bet 65k...ish. Daniel raises anoth 100k, and freddy folds giving a 300-400k pot to daniel and gives him control of the tourney

I would have to say the Moneymaker one in my opinion was the worst I've seen... I think it was a "your raising me and it pisses me off ALLIN" move... personally it was such a bad bluff I think it dumbfounded sam farha, but thats just my opinion.I think Freddy Deebs fold to Negreanu's Ace high bluff was the best all around bluff I've ever seen...Not only did he bluff him but he showed the bluff after saying "Is a bluff good for the game?" I think that was great... but hey I'm a little partial aren't I?

I think the jey to the moneymaker bluff wasn't as much of moneymaker pulling off a great play as it was sammy being unsure of the situation enough to pick a better spot.He knew Moneymaker more than likely didn't have it, but you aren't gonna try to win the main event when the situation is even or 60/40.

Stu Ungar's bluff on Ron Stanley was a very interesting hand in the '97 final table with QTo. Stanley didn't have much of a hand to call him with, though.

How is this the worst bluff you've seen? Would you care to explain? I don't know how anyone can say a bluff that worked, let alone a bluff for over a million in chips and a bluff that mostly likely set up Moneymaker's final, winning hand at WSOP, bad. Is it because it was by an "amateur, internet" player who parlayed $40 satellite and got "lucky" and won? I wonder if you would have the same opinion if it was done by a top pro. I'm sure your opinion would be completely different. If it was the worst bluff, then you shoud've also mentioned that Farha made the worst laydown. And what makes Scotty Nguyen's 8-3 bluff so great beside his comment, "i'm playing blackjack". This bluff is more amateurish and less creative because there was no flop, no cards on the board and hand hasn't even developed yet. Even a donkey knows that he can't call that big of a raise, let alone a re-raise, unless he's (Humberto Brenes) holding AA or KK. What was Scotty boasting about, when he had to be concerned with only 2 possible hands?

When I was playing a $100 sit and go a few months ago on UltimateBet we were down to 3 and only the top two positions paid (6 handed). I had aces preflop and had about 3000 worth in chips and blinds were 50-100 and I made a raise to 300 preflop and got one caller. flop came KQ3 offsuit. I bet 300 and got called. turn came 9 and made a bet of 400 and got called. River gave another Q and I bet 400 and then he reraised all in. I went into the tank thinking he couldve hit trips or a full house or something and eventually folded my aces face up telling him how I had to lay down my pretty hand since I thought he had a monster. He then showed me AJ and said how scared he was that I was going to call him! It really crippled my stack and put me on tilt, I was out of the tournament a few hands later. This was just the best bluff that anyone has pulled on me. I was sick for days.**Note: Since this was a few months ago, I don't remember the exact amouts being bet.
