serge 904
Hey guys ,I was interested in running another playoff pool this year...Something fun where we can have some friendly competition...Anywhere from $10-$50 range...Do you guys know of any site that would run a yahoo type pool just for the playoffs? If not any suggestions?I would like a pool where we have our own distinct players that we draft...We can have an online draft in a thread and people can post as we go along...I believe there is at least 3 or 4 days from the last game of the season to the first day of the playoffs, thats assuming that the teams arent decided till the last day...If you like to participate please let me know, along with some ideas...And be careful, if the Leafs arent in it, I will not be biased and will be formidable opponent.EDIT:We would like to have 10 people x $100 drafting 15 players each....We have 7 confirmed, please say yes if you like to participatePlayers that have said they will play:SergeZachGruvenOttawa BiatchUntiltedPezevengTroyomacrinswunMapleLeafspokerWhiterThe HiddenAtomic tea

Ottawa_Biatch 288
I think it would be better to have a draft. Don't have like a million guys like last time though where we only get like 5 players each. Cap it @ like 15 ppl.

serge 904
I checked out Hockey pool.com...Its sounds like an awesome service..Was expecting it to be expensive, but its only $1 per poolie, to a maximum of $20 for pools of more than 20 people..Still looking for some ideas from you guys on point system, number of players picked and amount of pool..For playoff pools, since its more on the excitement of your player surviving, I dont like to have complicated stats like PP,PIM,GWG etc.Just simple Goals and Assists...And with 16 playoff teams I think if we pick 160 players its a good number as you really dont want to pick more than the top 10 guys per team...So if we had 10 poolies we pick 16 players each..if we had 20 we pick 8...What do you guys think? serge 904
I think the bolded is a good idea.i'm guessing no goalie stats right.Yeah I think for playoff pools , I like it simple...I guess picking one goalies might be interesting , up to the rest of the guys. Ottawa_Biatch 288
Personally I'd prefer 10 poolies with 16 players each. Because with 20 people, the guy who picks 1st wouldn't pick again until 40. Maybe up the ante of the bet to like $50?I also think its a lot simpler with straight up goals and assists.
Zach6668 513
In for up to $100, and I agree that a smaller field is better.
Ottawa_Biatch 288
$100 would be fine with me as well.
serge 904
I am actually up for a $100 pool...Didnt think we can get enough people..If we get 10 guys for a $100 lets do it...Thats 3 for sure

Zach6668 513
Serge, the $100 for my pool will be what you owe me at the end of the regular season. I'm just consolidating the transfer process.
pezeveng 207
Iam in I should be back in time for the draft, is it possible to get everyone together. I think we should have people respond with this type of answer to accommodate everyone.1. Price range$20-$1002. Availability for the draft eastern timeFor me it 24-7 M-S (I have no responsibilities.)3. Number of players drafted and goalie option10-15 players no goalie. This way we will see what the majority wants than be fair.
Zach6668 513
I really like not having to pick a goalie. In every friggen format I've ever been involved in, goaltending plays way to big of a role.
serge 904
Ok it looks like I would like to go with 10 poolies drafting 16 players each...And it looks like we maybe able to get enough guys at a $100....Thats fourNot including the previous guys who said yes without the $100 entry fee
serge 904
NO GOALIES

serge 904
In for $ 100Defending Champion is in....Good luck again.
gruven 530
We could just have a free roll pool with serge putting all the money he's going to owe all of us into the prize pool.... I'm in, Serge will pay my way... The only thing I would say is that I like picking more than 10 players. I love it when a pool comes down the finals, and you have a third or fourth liner left who needs three points to give you the pool win...
Zach6668 513
Yeah, definitely. 10 people in, we could pick 16 people each, easily.
