serge 904
It looks like the Panthers have suspended Chad Kilger..I know he missed a long time with the Leafs , which was due to personal reasons.I really hope its nothing serious...And if the Panthers suspend him because of a personal issue, thats bush league.http://sports.yahoo.com/nhl/news;_ylt=AsiD...p&type=lgns
coesillian 0
well if he left and didn't come back when expected, why should they continue to pay him. Seems like a miscommunication.I have no clue what his personal reasons are related to, but at some point you have to understand that you are an employee and you have an obligation. If he can't fulfill that obligation then he should take an extended leave, or else he'll eventually get suspended.
serge 904
understanable...I found it really strange that he missed like two weeks for these same personal reasons...

serge 904
any idea what it's about?no clue..if it was some sort of a medical thing, he obviously wouldnt be suspended...But the Leafs obviously chose not to suspend him..
gruven 530
The suspension is in line with the Ducks suspending Neidermeyer... it's a roster/payroll thing..
digitalmonkey 929
no clue..if it was some sort of a medical thing, he obviously wouldnt be suspended...But the Leafs obviously chose not to suspend him..That's because the Leafs are such a classy organization.sergeDISCLAIMER: This is in no way a comment intended solely for the purpose of bashing the Toronto Maple Leafs franchise. Speed Limit 0
Yeah JM is being really really tight-lipped about this so I wonder what is up.
serge 904
Yeah JM is being really really tight-lipped about this so I wonder what is up.well considering in the biggest insane hockey market in the world, word never got out what was the personal issue, not surprised..I just hope he is ok, cause he is a good guy and a pretty decent player... digitalmonkey 929
The suspension is in line with the Ducks suspending Neidermeyer... it's a roster/payroll thing..The Panthers have over $4,000,000 in cap space and Kilger only makes about $800,000. I can't see why they'd need to suspend him to save cash. I think he's in full decontamination mode to get the stink of failure off him that followed him from the Leafs' dressing room.DISCLAIMER: This is in no way a comment intended solely for the purpose of bashing the Toronto Maple Leafs franchise. Speed Limit 0
From the beat writer George Richards: "Apparently Kilger told the Panthers he would join the team March 1, meet them in New York in time for the Panthers game with the Islanders. He still hasn't reported, and Wednesday, the Panthers officially suspended him without pay." 7s7c 0
Kilger is not awful...He is a great role player..One of the first in a long line of awful HIGH 1st round draft picks by Anaheim. If memory serves me he was either the 4th or 5th overall pick. Vishnievski isn't/wasn't totally awful either but he was also like a 5th overall pick.
