I think it may be interesting to get a discussion going on the various online sites people play at and what screen names they use.I'm registered at:UltimateBet.com - monkeyman1968PokerStars.com - dalemccarthySuperiorPoker.com - dmccarthyI usually play at Ultimate and I think I like it (lol). Does anyone else feel like the deck is juiced though?I haven't played at PokerStars much at all. I don't like the fact that I can't rotate the table. I like to be at the bottom of the screen when I play. (crazy huh?!!!?)I haven't played at Superior yet. I just signed up yesterday cause I want to check out Guts and Chinese Poker.

I enjoy playing at Jetsetpoker.comIt's a pretty new site; it's only a little over a year old. It lets you pick your own face from a gallery of a bunch of different ones. Also, when playing you can change the expression on your face, i.e. sad, happy, angry, poker face. The chat also shows up in bubble form, so it looks like comic book style dialogue coming from your mouth. Just like any other site you can also accumulate playing points, on Jetset they're called GoPoints. If you earn enough, which I have, you can order your very own custom face. That's what you see as my avatar to the left right here. The only drawback is that the site is still relatively small and sometimes at the higher limits you end up playing shorthanded. The tourneys are fun, including one called a HeadHunter in which every player has a price on their head, or a bounty. As you play tournaments you get ranked, assuming you do decent enough, and this is how they determine how much you're worth. It can be very fun, and it can also change your game plan if someone's at your table with an unusually large bounty! LOL :D

I mainly play on FHM, which is also VC poker. I also play at partypoker, and ub, but I prefer FHM. The one drawback is that there are only around 1,500 people online at a time, but this can also be considered a good thing, as you recognize a lot of the players you play with, and since they have a good note taking system, you can really start to figure out how your competition plays. Their stat tracking is pretty good too. They also have the action point system which allows for tournament entries or prize purchasing. Doyle can be found here, and he is also the player with a bounty, in the Bounty Tournaments. Mike Caro also plays at the 50/100 limit tables there. The best thing about it though I find is the speed of hands, and just the overall display and graphical design. It seems much smoother, and when I play at FHM and one of the other sites, FHM seems to get in about 10 hands for every 6 or 7 on the other ones.

...it is not an enthusiastic choice. I like to play PotLimit Omaha . Unfortunately it is not always easy to find full games at the other online rooms.Party has a lot of shortcomings, but there are more players there than anywhere else.I have never been unable to find a game there. Even at some pretty odd hours.I really like the GUI at UB, but it is rare to find a good pl omaha table.I also like to be able to use my macintosh, and as of now Poker Room is the only place that works on the mac platform. I keep reading about all the money these poker rooms are making and how competitive they are. I have trouble understanding why "the powers that be" do not invest in the software upgrade needed to accomodate mac users. It seems like a "no brainer"...maybe the powers that be have no brains?Happy New Year! Good Luck.badbluffer
