I was 4 tabling during this hand, but I had no other good hands, so had time to think... So I'll add my thoughts.PokerStars 0.25/0.50 Hold'em (9 handed) converterPreflop: Hero is SB with [Kc], [Jc]. UTG calls, UTG+1 calls, 1 fold, UTG calls, UTG+1 calls, MP2 calls, MP3 calls.Flop: (11 SB) [Kd], [3d], [3h] (5 players)Hero bets, UTG folds, UTG+1 calls, MP2 calls, MP3 folds.At this point, I know I'm not up against aces from the preflop action. Highly doubt a 3 is possible. So I figure any calls means K with weaker kicker than mine. Any raise is *likely* king with better kicker. Only KQ has me beat though, as these guys would be raising KK or AK preflop.Turn: (7 BB) [Th] (3 players)Hero bets, MP2 folds, Hero calls.UTG+1 wakes up and I had put him on K with weaker kicker on the flop. A little concerned with KT at this point, but he may just be playing any king, or even some retarded hand with a 3 in it.River: (11 BB) [Kh] (2 players)Hero bets, Hero calls.Again, bet out for value. Raise tells me he likely has a king and if we cap, we're just wasting money on the rake, so I just call. And KT is still in the back of my mind. I figure this is a split/lose situation.Final Pot: 15 BBNow, was that too tight? Am I paying off KT a lot less than I'm making bets from a 3 and raising is +EV?

Re-raise. You have the nuts (Except for him holding 33, but that is unlikely).There are a few hands he could be playing - 10-10 for example. He could have also made the flush, and is trying to represent the full boat (not real bright, but you never know...).Your reasoning makes sense - he probably does have the K to split the pot, but the chance that he is playing something like 3's full is worth the minimal extra rake, IMHO.

actually k-10 beats him as well, and is what the OP is worried about, but just calling that raise is EXTREMELY weak and OVERWHELMINGLY -EV.

KT beats me, which is the only hand I am worried about. I never worry about someone holding a pp turned quads with 1 pair on the board. I haven't played a ton of limit poker, and this is a somewhat odd situation, so I wasn't sure what the best move was. Thanks for the input.

I think this one's pretty close. He's mathematically just as likely to have TT as KT (three ways each), although TT might have raised preflop. He could have A3, but if so he played it strange. I think it depends on how likely you think your opponent is to overplay his hand.One question - does anyone have a take on the OP's pre-flop raise? I would raise from the button with KJs in that situation, but I'm not sure about from the SB when you'll be out of position for the whole hand.
