I play poker at William Hill (easy to view) and was shocked to find out that I was playing with players from other sites. i.e. Caribbean SunMy concern is the random process of the cards being dealt. I've seen to many flushes on the flop and way too many quads. The other day I was playing a KK and the flop was 4 A K . I was heads up and we both went all in. He shows me an A 10 . The turn is another ace giving me the full house but the river was another ace producing quads. How can I trust that the software for these sites is truly random. That loss was my third bad beat on the same day.Any opinions? Thanks.

The only way to trust that it is truly random (read as random as is possible) is to code the program yourself, or audit what is being used. Otherwise you have to trust on blind faith the site is using the best programers and software that is out there for the purpose. If you don't feel comfortable there, you have to move on.I played on PS for like six months and only saw quads maybe twice in that time. Then over a period of about a month and a half I saw quads (myself or more often opponent) pretty much daily if i played for over an hour. I came back after a couple days of not playing and within 10 minutes hit quad 2's.

Just don't trust them and don't play online if you don't want to. Seems simple enough.

PokerStars uses 512bit SSL encryption to protect data sent from and to their servers. This level of security is unmatched by any poker room out there. In addition, PokerStars submitted their random number generator (an essential piece of software code to ensure each and every card shuffle is random) to two independent auditors (BMM International and Cigital, Inc.) for analysis and testing. Both firms verified that PokerStars' random number generator passed industry standards for randomness. No other site has gone as far as PokerStars has to prove the authenticity of their deal, so PokerStars stands out here.
