I had a rough weekend for poker. Some suckouts, some coolers, some bad play. This leads to worse play by me. What are you thoughts here?

Full Tilt No-Limit Hold'em, $0.25 BB (6 handed) Full-Tilt Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: FlopTurnRiver Cards)

SB ($25.25)
BB ($10)
UTG ($25)
MP ($26.15)
Hero ($41)
Button ($22.25)

Preflop: Hero is CO with , .
2 folds, Hero raises to $0.85, 1 fold, SB raises to $2.9, 1 fold, Hero calls $1.95.

Flop: ($5.95) , , (2 players)
SB checks, Hero bets $4, SB calls $4.

Turn: ($13.95) (2 players)
SB checks, Hero checks.

River: ($13.95) (2 players)
SB bets $13.85, Hero...

1. Is this an easy fold pre-flop? Are we ever calling a reraise in pos?
2. Flop play OK?
3. Turn check OK? No draws there, so why bloat the pot?
4. River... lost.

Thanks.

You figure him for a draw, so I like that you made that bitch pay on the turn.

An e-mail from my dad, who is a weekend online super low limit, only for fun player:
"Hey Bud,
What is a "donk"?
I was small blind, had 2 and 3 off suit, with a 100 raise. I called.
Flop was 5, 2, 2. They raised, so I came over the top. We ended up all in and I won.
He asked my how I could call a $100 with a 2 & a 3. My reply was "just hit the call key". I think I ticked them off.
What do you think? That is when he called me a "donk".
Love you
Dad"

6 handed in the CO with 2 face cards - I am probably playing them and calling like you did.

Open raise is fine.

Fold preflop to the reraise every single time. Every time. Twice on Sundays.

TBH I probably check behind on the flop and get myself into a really weird mess on the turn and river, but that's just me. I think your bet is fine.

I think bet/folding the turn and checking behind on the river is better than checking the turn and calling the river.

assuming standard read on SB i fold KJo there. it's a crappy crappy crappy hand. i'd rather call the 3bet with 45s.

bet about 2/3 on turn and check behind river, rather than checking behind turn and calling river.

Fold preflop every single time. EVERY SINGLE TIME.

The flop is ok. I bet the turn. If he wants to c/r me, then that's fine, but I'm gonna put my last chips into the pot at this point.

Fold river as played.

No, it's really not. Unless you have a strong read to compel you to call preflop, this is as standard as folding QJo UTG in a full ring game.

I think that is what he meant...the problem is in the call of the pfr.

I looked at your blog, stiletto. I don't play much 6-max but a lot of the problem hands you posted seemed to all stem from pre-flop aggression morphing into clinging to a pair with a weak kicker or multi-barreling bluffs into raised pots.

Stiletto, post your PT stats. It could really point out some leaks.

New Rule

When posting a hero call with 72 you must include your complete poker tracker results for that hand.

i hate k-j. so you should too. don't play it, specially not with a nice sized reraise. icon_dance.gif

Raise preflop is ok from the cutoff, but fold to the reraise. Calling gets you into situations like these where you don't know where you are in the hand more often then not.

I don't think he is betting anything less than a pair of kings on the river and probably does not have a worse king than you.

Yup. I was at a conference yesterday and starting posting in the afternoon to stay awake, then the battery on my laptop gave out and I was too lazy to go plug it in.

But yeah, the problem is ALL right there in the PF call. I have a list of hands that it's OK to raise with but not call raises with.

It's a long list.

pf call is bad

I like checking behind this flop then betting the turn if checked to

If were not already behind, there is very few cards that come on the turn that change our equity in the hand much
