I recently decided I'd move some of my BR to UltimateBet so I can get rakeback and hopefully clear their 110% bonus. Unfortunately I'm having trouble getting PT to work with it, so I don't have any numbers on the players. I have noticed that the tables are a hell of a lot tighter. Very passive post-flop. So that being said, did I play this well? Should I check-raise this flop?

Ultimate Bet 0.25/0.50 Hold'em (9 handed) Ultimate-Bet Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: FlopTurnRiver)

Preflop: Hero is UTG with J, K.
3 folds, MP3 calls, CO raises, 3 folds, Hero calls, MP3 calls.

Flop: (10.40 SB) T, 3, 9 (3 players)
Hero bets, MP3 calls, CO calls.

Turn: (6.70 BB) 5 (3 players)
Hero bets, MP3 folds, CO folds.

Final Pot: 6.70 BB

EDIT: Converter stuffed up... I raised pre-flop and was 3-bet.

I think you played this well.

I wouldn't checkraise the flop because it could make MP3 fold. The way you played you got 2 small bets out of your opponents, a checkraise would have done the same if MP3 folds and would loose you more if your draws don't come. CO might have raised your flop lead so that would have been profitable.

I find it interesting that you raise KJs preflop from UTG. I know Sklansky suggests that in SSHE, but I'd probably limp there. Can't really tell why... Perhaps it's a leak in my game.

Meh... depends how I feel. Sometimes I'll limp, sometimes I'll raise. KTs I'll limp, but KJs is just that little bit stronger I like to raise sometimes, usually about 60% limp, 40% raise. KQs I'm raising 80% of the time.

Sorry, I think the HH is messed up?

Did you limp UTG?

I raise KJs and KTs, and I raise KQs 90235% of the time.

Yeah, there's a little edit under the hand. UB hand histories suck.

i agree.

by the way, the UB bonus is a bitch to clear. There is no table selection at all unless you play NL or jackpot tables. The UB points, even though they just upgraded them, take forever to clear at 1/2 and 2/4. I opened an account there in early January and I think I've been able to multi table more than 2 tables about 3 times. stuff you might've wished you knew before hand, but oh well.

good luck

Yeah, I'm thinking it's gonna take a really really long time to clear it. It says $1 per 20 UB points I earn, but I've got 20 UB points and I haven't gotten a dollar yet... Do you know if I'm supposed to clear all of it before I get any of it?

In case you don't, you need an ultimate bet handgrabber (link at pt website) and have the hand history window open for pt to work.

PA HUD will grab hands for you, plus it can be set to pull the previous hand histories up to 100. That is sweet - sitting down at a table full of players you might not know and instantly getting 100 hands of data on them.
