digitalmonkey 929
What players do you think should be considered for Comeback Player of the Year?Off the top of my head I'm thinking Jeremy Roenick, Ed Jovanovski and Jose Theodore.
rinswun 6
Kovalev seems to be a very good choice as far as i can see.
doox 15
At the risk of sounding like a homer - Ty Conklin. The guy's been buried in the minors, considered a journeyman, and has come out of nowhere to keep the Pens vying for the division (possibly the conference) lead after they lost their best player. TheDaveyG 6
What is a "comback player" Someone who missed significant time last year or someone who just sucked. If it's someone who just sucked, then I would say maybe Svatos, Morrow or even though he's young, Zherdev.

FCP Bob 1,323
It should be somebody who was good at one point and has either sucked or been injured or has sucked because of injuries and now is good again.A young player like Zherdev who is having a break out season shouldn't be in the mix. If it's someone who just sucked, then I would say maybe Svatos, Morrow or even though he's young, Zherdev.well, if its based on players who take a year off and then try the following year, I guess its Kovalev vs Prospal this year.usually these guys would probably rotate this award amongst each other, just bad timing on their part that they both decided to try this year. Hmm, I wonder if its a contract year?
digitalmonkey 929
Mike Ribeiro?I would consider him more of a breakout.
MapleLeafs 142
I would go with Chris Osgood.

Zach6668 513
I think this has to be Roenick. I don't know how many Sharks games you guys watch, but I've watched proly a dozen in their entirety, and he looks like he's in his 20s out there. It's astounding.
atomic_tea 0
Without Kovalev, I dont think the Habs would be in the top 8 in conference =T
Zach6668 513
Eh, I've got nothing but love for Kovy either, but I don't think he ever fell off, so to speak.

rinswun 6
i had considered teddy too but given that i had lewis on the farm who i hope to use in a few years i figured i would leave it out. plus i didnt really have a 'free' drop i could make for a waiver application. MrJohn 0
Probably not the biggest comeback player of the year but definitely a strong comeback player is Owen Nolan. Of course I have a biased opinion because he plays for the Flames. He brings a lot of toughness and gets the points when its needed. His hat trick and ass kicking on Grier was definitely his best game in a looooooooong time. Comeback goalie I would maybe say Mathieu Garon. He's playing spectacular for the Oilers.
