Whos with me? I think they have a shot at a playoff spot. It's obv gonna be tough but u can win 35-40 games and get in, in the east.

SHIP BIBBY TO THE HAWKS!!!! NOw one of the best backcourts in the East. Joe Johnson and Bibby. Playoffs? They are getting close.

Great trade for the Hawks. They didn't have to give up anything for him. Ant Johnson and Lue are awful pgs and sheldon williams is a bust and Wright hasn't played all yr. Finally Billy knight did something right.

I cant even beleive this deal. SAC basically gets nothing for Bibby. Three expiring deals and the carcus of the Landlord. I find it hard to beleive that CLE couldnt come up with a better offer.

I agree. Lebron is gonna be pissed. But Im so glad the hawks finally can get a legit player to make a playoff push. Now they wont get far but its been 10 yrs since they got in.

Clevland could not come up with a better offer because they did not have anyone Sac wanted. They would rather have cap space (all were enders except Williams) and Petrie may have saw some value in Williams on the cheap.

This gets us under the cap next year, and if we can deal Artest/Miller we have lots of cap room in the next 2-3 years. There is too much talent in the West right now for the Kings to care about getting much value back in this trade.

I am not estatic with it, but its better than getting Gooden/Snow from the Cavs, who would keep us in medicrity.

I think the only one that will be with Sac next yr will be Williams. Johnson and Lue contracts are done. Basically Sac said this season is a wash..lets free up cap sapce for next yr. Plus Martin is a stud. But as a hawks fan its good to see effort from the GM.

But how dont you get rid of K.Thomas's contract when trading your one desirable asset besides Artest?

One thing I've been thinking about is Atlanta. Is it crazy for me to believe this team may actually have a decent chance at making that 8 seed in the East? I mean they got Joe Johnson, who is an all-star and Josh Smith who could be a potential all-star. Marvin Williams had a productive season last year, and I see no reason why he shouldn't improve again this year. If they can get some solid play out of the PG spot (I know it's a big if) I see no reason why they can't make the playoffs. Thoughts?

Who wouldnt think a team with three quality wing players( 4 if count childress) would make the playoffs in the east if they had decent PG play?

That was a crap call. The clock started before the ball even hit TJ's hands. Another crap call from the scoring table in Atlanta. What a gong show there.

Ok one..it wasnt the scoring tables fault. An offical that is on the floor(one of the 3) has a trigger in his pocket..his fault...

TWO..u cannot catch grab and shoot in 0.5 and when u watch replay the time taking away from the early start Ford clearly makes up for it by having it in his hand to long.

Even Ford himself said it could go either way.

Also how did they let the hawks get to that point. Thats the bigger issue.

but ford did make a great play.

I think the official NBA rule says you can do it in .3 seconds or more, anything less and it would have to be a tip.

I agree, it was close, but even with them starting the clock early, he barely missed getting it off. I think it would be closer than you think, as it was not a true shot. It was an alleyoop catch and shoot. Certainly quicker than a jumpshot. But realistically, how can anyone time that perfectly?

How did they let them in the game, by sucking in the fourth quarter....bad. After that second last 3 attempt, how they don't get that rebound is beyond me. They definitely didn't deserve the win.

Was just watching coverage and Al Horford now claims he tipped the inbounds pass. I dont know about this but if its true its obv late shot but I think hes reaching personally. Even though hes a BEAST.
