false reading the board

Alrite, I was playing a game with a few of my close friends. THere were about 8 of us and we were down to 3. I picked up Ace 8 off preflop. i was on the button so i raised, small blind folded and big called. The flop came out Ace King 10. My friend checked and i bet to him, he called and the turn was an 8 giving me 2 pair. My friend once again checked and i raised once again. He reraised me all in.. so i called. We flipped the cards and i said 2 pair and he said straight... and then i looked at his cards and was missing a jack for the straight. He then started swearing and yelling while i laughed and then the turn came out out Jack giving him the straight and taking me out of the came. :evil:
