Bars can't have any kind of sale or discount of alcohol. Usually food is discounted to get around this, half-price aps and such. Restaurants will offer "pitcher and wings" type deals as well.

There are other ways that the bars work around this. They do offer cheap deals on booze... the law says you can not discount on booze BUT.... as long as the price you open the day at is the cheapest that you have the booze at all day then its legal. So if i wanted to have a 2$ drink night, all i have to do is make sure the opening price for drinks is $2 and is the cheapest i have it all day. You can also raise the price during the day, you just can make it lower then that opening price. Thats why alot of the time you will just have a cheap deal on 1 type of booze... so like $2 draft or $5 pitchers so that way they can just lower the draft and not bottle or liquor.

Boddingtons is horribly easy to drink and very nice, my housemate bought a crate 4 days ago and there's 1 can left.McEwans is ludicrously strong, personally I think 8.1% ABV is too much for a beer. I don't like it too much. The optimum for taste is 4-5% imo.We brew our own beer/ale/stout at uni, produce about about 40 pints a week and it tastes nice and costs about 20p/pint.As far as fantastic ales gohttp://www.jenningsb...snecklifter.gifcan't be beat.
