Hey everyone...

Well I have never really been one to ask for help. I am an idiot most of the time when it come to things like that. Some how believing that I will find the strength to get through on my own. Well todayis not one of those days. I am reaching out to anyone I know and many that I do not know. Here is the basic gist of the story. I have a 10 year old little sister, her name is Natalie Rose. In August she was diagnosed with Diffuse Intrinsic Pontine Glioma, in laymens terms she has a brain tumor on her brain stem that is inoperable. This was a crushing blow to our family. Since that time we have been doing anything and everything to fight the tumor. She has taken many steps forward and all to often taken steps back. The last 48 hours has been especially trying for all of us. Natalie's breathing has become more and more difficult. She has been in more pain as of late because she is to weak to force out mucus in her lungs. She has basically been immobile since she started radiation treament in October. She has some movement but is unable to walk or things of that nature. Obviously there are plenty of other detail but right now what is important is that she is showered with love. We are asking that you take some time and just send a prayer or positive energy, something, anything that might help her push through this most difficult time. We are not ready to let her go, she has to much fight, she has worked to hard. We need time to let new medicines work to get the radiation out of her body. She isn't able to do the fighting on her own. She needs strength wherever she can find it. So I am asking all of you to please help. I know it may be asking alot but I would trade places with my little sister in an instant but I can't do that, so all I can do is search high and low for help. Please prey, please send love, please do what you can.

You can find more information on Natalie and her condition at the following websites:

Thank you all very much.

Sorry to hear about this... consider prayers coming your way.

I always find strength in the book of Job for times like these. Good luck and God bless!

While praying most certainly isn't going to help anyone or your situation, I send you my sincere hopes that everything will work out ok.
Trust the doctors and the medical people, they know best at this point.

Ignore him, pray as much as you like, there is power in prayer, no matter what this guys says. My prayers are with your family.

I don't really worry about it, people are free to express how they wish. I have spend plenty of time in my life questioning if prayer makes a difference. My opinion on the issues doesn't matter, it is what my father and step mother wish for everyone. Prayers, positive thought, meditation, its all good.

Well actually, no it doesn't. I don't want to turn this into an arguement, this is about the guys sister, but a recent BILLION dollar
study, shows that patients in hospitals who are prayed for during their stay, show no more recovery than the people who aren't prayed for.

So don't. Let's just stick with sending good thought, prayers, or whatever anyone wants to do.

Well just a quick update, things do not look good. My whole family made it in, my sister from Oregon and my brother from Las Vegas, basically we spent the evening just around her and near her and loving her. My Dad and Step mom gave us 20 mins to basically say our good byes, a nurse is here and then my parents are going to spend the night laying next to her and praying that she wakes up in the morning. Thats all I got, just praying for a miracle.

No I am actually not. I truly feel for him, having lost 2 very close members of my family in the past 2 years (I am only 18).
I am simply defending myself, and making sure that he knows that even though I am not a believer, my thoughts are with him.

This must be a very hard time for you all. I cannot imagine how you must feel.

Sadly no miracle came, not long after I posted my last update Natalie took her final breathe and went to sleep. Thanks to everyone for the well wishes, I wish I had a better outcome for everyone. Im crushed, broken, and exhausted...the last 48 hours have been a true test of family and love. I lost my sister, my little jedi, my munchkin, the greatest little sister ever, and my best friend. Thats all I got....take care.

Take some solace in the fact that she was lucky to spend 10 years with an older sibling that cared so much about her.
