Mostly due to really smug arrogant Boston sport fans.

Oh, I understand why. But it's obviously not just that...people didn't hate on any Boston sports teams until they started winning (plus there's the cheating thing). It's human nature to find a reason to dislike winners when you're not one of them.

LOL
"Oh, and as a sidenote, they cheated.."
Speedz' Response: All teams steal signs, they just got caught.
Erik's response: Not all teams use video recorders.
Speedz: Still won 3 Super Bowls.
Erik: Vince Lombardi.
Speedz: Bill Bellicheck
Erik: (speechless)
/back and forth
And in case it's not clear, I think their cheating is the most blatant, understandable reason why people hate them..not that people don't like winners.

Lets not forget their coach comes off as a complete asshole, thats the main reason I dislike them.

I'm with you so far. Because, you know, from my point of view it doesn't matter at all that they got caught cheating (especially in a way that virtually all former players and coaches admit is gamesmanship that goes on with every team). Regardless of how you phrase it, and to what extent any one person believes the cheating went, it doesn't change how much fun I had during those three wins. Hate all you want, I'm still happier with my team this decade than any other fan can be with theirs.
Speedz: Bill Bellicheck

It's not even comparable, and the fact that you think I'd argue that with you means you don't get it. Or me. YOU DON'T GET ME, MAN!
You're wrong about the fact that winning doesn't breed hate. I refuse to believe that you even could possibly think that...you can't be that naiive.
But of course the cheating is a huge reason. Just one of many...
...including this one. He's a complete asshole.

I do feel bad for the players and coaches because all their work went for naught.

No, cheating is a big part, but yeah..you're right..
Winning does breed hate. But nothing breeds hate more than a winner that's an ass(Steinbrenner?). Bellikryszewski came off as an ass this year..thus the hate.

GO GIANTS!!!!
New York is pretty crazy right now. I just walked past Time Square and through Union Square and they're mobbed. Cars are honking horns, people are screaming in the streets. I saw a garbage truck stop in the middle of the street, start honking his horn, and open his door. A ton of people formed around him, they started climbing on the car chanting "Boston Sucks, Boston Sucks." They literally were on top of the garbage truck jumping up and down, and it was shaking. Eventually the cops came and everybody ran.
The whole night is pretty amazing. It's a good feeling to be in this city right now.

Ha! The tides have officially turned in the New York/Boston sports scene. That's great. I remember the good old days when we were the underdogs, not the dominant bad guys.

Other than the "outclassed" nonsense, you're right.
LOL. You people are ridiculous and have no sense of history when you're caught up in the moment.
Like LLY said, if anything, that puts NY and Boston even in terms of upsets. Yeah, this was one big game, but down 3-0 in a series on the way to a first championships in almost a century certainly isn't BELOW the totem pole here.
