- Move up from .25/.50 to .50/1 full-ring limit.- 1000 hands. (That's a lot considering how little I play.)- Play more 4.40's, but I wanna keep working on my limit game first.

I am somewhere between really happy for Zach to really jealous. If I was smart I would ask him to teach me HU LHE. Maybe that will be my goal for March.
Having Zach teach me how to become more suicidal seems like a bad idea.

I am up 550 so far this month...would be great to go one month without blowing my roll so that I can actually make a couple grand instead of constantly breaking even.

FEBRUARY GOALS1. 10k hands of FR LHE2. Don't force yourself to play when you're upset with yourself... even if you just started and you're playing bad.3. Play some tournaments on PS when you feel like a change of pace.4. Start back up playing live 3/6 and keeping track of my results on pokertracking.com. Use February as an establishing month to see how I'm doing and where I'm at. DO NOT LET YOURSELF GET AFFECTED BY 1 or 2 day RESULTS!What I hope this accomplishes? Following Rabid's 300bb/200bb bankroll strategy (it fits me well), I hope to reach 300bb of .25/.50 ($150) and be well on my way to 300bb of .50/1 ($300) with the assistance of the rakeback and bonus.Utilize the bankroll strategy for live play as well. 3/6 (1800 starting point), move down to 2/4 if you go under 1200 and move up to 6/12 if you reach 3600.I'll see you all at the end of the month :club:
I am really planning on buckling down for February so I'm going to use this thread as my sort of "blog" in a sense.I've just come across my $1800 Bankroll for 3/6 live and I'm continuing the bankroll that I've got going on FTP right now. I'm going to try to do a sort of daily update on my live play and progress along with my 4-tabling online. I don't have the best memory so you won't see any specific hands, but more of just thoughts on what I'm doing and everything that I've done. Please feel free to comment with thoughts or suggestions.ENTRY 1I just got back from a trip to Vegas and had a great time. The highlight? Giants win! I took the 12.5 points for even money and my girlfriend wanted to risk more so she took the +350 for a flat out Giants victory. I am back and I am focused and ready to start playing some serious poker :-DI, currently, will be playing all my hands from Bakersfield's lovely Golden West Casino (sw on the lovely). The games are extremely loose passive and begging to be plucked. If anybody plays in the area, I'll probably be the only guy wearing the flat cap :PCurrently, I am used to 3 hour a sessions. I can do about 2 of those a day and I want to be able to spend more time at the table without getting fidgety/bored/etc. Does anyone have any tips on how they do long sessions at the casino? My love of the game definitely isn't in question... just more the speed and the sitting in the same seat for ever and ever part that makes it hard for me sometimes.Current Live Status: 300BB (big bets) at 3-6I'm excited about my progress online, too. I'm getting thousands and thousands more hands and am very comfortable with 4-tabling. I am debating about going ahead and splurging on a second LCD monitor if I can find a cheap one. I'll add more tables as comfortably as I can. Currently, though, I'm sticking with 4 until I get a new monitor. I play at FTP online. I am working on a bonus and doing the 27% rakeback. I use Pokertracker to database and Gametime+ for live results on each player at the table. I focus on their vpip / pfr / af / hands played to determine how they act pre-flop and after the flop. Does anyone know how to utilize some form of table selection with those two programs?Current February Status: .25/50 full ring limit holdem / 542 hands played / -21 BBI'm happy I'm back and it's time to hit the tables. Wish me luck, feel free to comment, and you'll be getting all my updates and thoughts in this thread.

I think its time to take my money off AP. I just dropped $105 playing .25/.50 Stud8 (2 tables) and .05/.10 PLO8, most of it at Stud8!!!! Basically brings me back to even for the month, but I still want to go on a rampage killing spree!!!I'd like to find a site with RB and monthly freerolls like AP has, any suggestions?? Open to US players of course. I never thought I'd leave AP, but I just can't win there anymore. I just don't understand.

Had a great session yesterday even though my weekend was terrible. I managed to get in a good session monday and with rakeback get back to 1350$ as where I started at 50NL friday before the weekend. After yesterday I'm up to 1550$ so less than 1k to go to reach my goal for the end of this month. Stats of yesterday's session:Posted Image

Entry 202/05/083/6 live at Golden West 11pm-12:45amI caught fiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiire. You know those days were you're just hitting it? I lost a few medium pots, didn't screw around too much in small ones (other then steals), and every big pot I was in I took down. My play was very ABC.. you notice how it's so much easier to play good when you're focus is on extracting as much money as possible. Some pots were so big that I was forced to call down some improbable draws... gotta love it when they get there :D The only reason that the session was 1hr and 45 minutes long was due to the fact that the table broke up and I didn't feel like learning another table.Buy in: 80Cash out: 305 +37.5BBLive Bankroll: 2025 +37.5BB.25/.50 online at Full Tilt - NAI didn't put in any hands that night.02/06/08$50+8 live tournament at Golden West / No Limit Hold'em / 6:15pm-6:30pm / Place 90ish-100As you can tell, I didn't last long in the tournament. Not even through one orbit really. Here's the goofy hand.We all had around 4500 chips (starting stack). I had no reads on anyone at this point. I'm not a great no limit player, but my start in poker was tournaments so I play them on the side for fun (money not included in my bankroll). Here's the hand.Pre-flop, blinds 25-501 - fold, 2 - limp, 3 - fold, 4 - limp, 5 - fold, 6 - fold, 7 - limp, SB (hero) A3s complete, BB checkEasy complete in the small blind.Flop (t250 pot) A K 3 rainbowSB (hero) check, BB check, 2 - check, 4 - bet t200, 7 - call t200, SB (hero) raise to t1100, BB fold, 2 fold, 4 call, 7 callWith such a strong two pair and no raising action on the flop, I felt I had the best hand since no one raised PF (I didn't think about 33)Turn (t3550 pot) A K 3 QSB All-in t3300, 4 - fold, 7 - callRiver (t a whole bunch of chips pot) A K 3 Q 9Results:Hero - Two Pair, Aces and Threes7 - Three of a Kind KINGS Ugh, no raise pre-flop at all. Should I have not bet as strong as I did on the turn? Or did I do what most people would have done? Either way, that's over onto the cash games.3/6 live at Golden West 6:40PM-9:40PMThis was a very very standard session. I made one goofy attempt at a bluff that I felt would work into 2 people on the river. God knows what I was thinking and I hate myself for being an idiot there. The rest of the session was very standard. Overall, I like the way I played no matter the results. Table as very loose as always and more aggressive then usual. I'm getting much better mental compilations of the usuals that play there. I'm playing each person better as time goes along. One note to remind myself of is that I probably need to focus on paying more attention as I'm usually watching ESPN when I'm not involved at the table.Buy in: 100Cash out: 134 +5.66BBLive Bankroll: 2059 +43.166BB.25/.50 online at Full Tilt - NAI need to put some hands down. I've been lazy so I think I'm going to hit that up tonight. I just got an e-mail about getting my rakeback payment today :club: My bankroll wouldn't be what it is without that and the bonus.

January results: Made money, had fun. Very happy with how things went.February goals: - Clear 2.5k profit by end of February, starting last Wednesday (2 days ago). ~1280 to go :club:- Work out- Have fun
Lost a lot of my profits in those 3 days when I posted this, so my goal by the end of the month is to be plus 1.1k for the month. I'm about +125 for the month so far. That's a little less than +50/day, which is just fine with me. I'd like to not grind so hard for awhile (instead of up a ton down a ton), so picking up 2 25NL 6 max buy-ins or 1 50NL HU buy-in daily should be quite enough for now.

I would think that if you know what your winrate tends to be and set yourself a goal on how many hands you're going to play. It should be pretty easy to set a monetary goal.

I find it just tilts me when I come up short. I don't really set goals other than don't play in games you can't beat. Seems to be doing good so far.But I am a nit.

I never know what my winrate for the month tends to be. My lifetime winrate and my monthly or weekly winrates are never close let alone the same.I ran at -0.93BB/100 2 months ago. 4BB/100 last month. And 22BB/100 this month so far.

So far this month, 9100 hands of HU (like 7500 at .5/1 and 1600 at 1/2) in the 1st 7 days and I'm up almost $1300. Things are going pretty well so far.
