(12BB in pot)Last draw I obv. still pat - EP draws 1.I bet, EP raises, I 3-bet EP caps I call.final pot 20BBI was obviously betting the end, and was just thrown off by him raising. I 3-bet instead of called b/c I had a VERY STRONG hand, and he was still drawing. Is he only raising #1 and #2 in this spot, or would he raise worse hands ever???

You can only hope he's raising a 24567 and that seems unlikely given the strength you've shown. I guess if you have some history and he's seen you sit pat on an 8 and push it hard, he may go all the way with a draw to a very good 8 or any 7. You're probably favoured over his range of hands in that situation, but the raise on the end should set off the alarms.I don't mind leading the last round, but I flat call the raise. The pots big enough now I won't lament missing one more bet, but would curse myself being capped and losing.

what's the screenname of villain? it would matter to me. that's a SUPER strong line. i sometimes 3b/call if the villain is bad or very LAG, 3b/fold i a villain is very predictable, and sometimes bet/call if the villain is standard.

Why is the check/raise atrocious? Is it because Ben reveals the strength of his hand? I'm new to this, so I will probably ask alot of questions in near future.

fwiw, a c/r after the first draw > a lead after first draw if it works about 2/3 of the time. it does here, imo.

C/r = good here because you trap two players for 2 SB here instead of 1.

lol.BB raises two limpers from the BB, draws one (while they're both on 2) and checks. yeah, that c/r is going to work a lot. also it has to work way better than 2/3s of the time.edit: not way better. but better. my point is that the c/r is rarely going to work. and if EP checks, LP bets, then what are you going to do? you have to raise obv. but if EP folds for 2, it's the same amount of bets as just leading.also, you're more or less laying your hand on the table since you don't care if it gets checked through, and you aren't going to get big bets of value later on.
