not sure if i would have bet on the river, kind of says "i have a set" or so my limited experience says. in a situation like that, set with an ok kicker, i like to think "win an ok bit or lose the least." ive netted myself before at a b&m throwing in my stack with only an ok kicker to run into someone with an ace kicker.
you couldn't easily put him on the draw but when there's one out there i like to be a bit careful. the fact that he was willing to double barrel and then reraise you means he, at the very least, has the same set.
hope that helped but i don't think the play itself was too terrible for a slow play.
tough one yo.
