Two Pair; Check Behind On The River Here?

Recommended Posts

This is the first hand in this session, so I have no reads. I will take comments on all streets, but my main question is this: do you fire again on the river? I felt like this is the type of situation where I am only getting called by better hands and all worse hands are going fold, so I feel like checking is right. It also gives missed flush draws a chance to bluff... I don't know, what do you think? Thanks.Full Tilt No-Limit Hold'em, $0.25 BB (9 handed) Full-Tilt Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: FlopTurnRiver Cards)CO ($27.25)Button ($22.95)SB ($27.10)Hero ($25)UTG ($16.50)UTG+1 ($25.10)MP1 ($26.50)MP2 ($24.65)MP3 ($15.65)Preflop: Hero is BB with jd.gif, 3c.gif. Just bet. He calls with any Jx hand and likely has KJ/QJ/JT or something. The only value that you'd miss out on is if he's got a busted flush draw that he'd have bluffed if you checked to him. He could even have 9xcc and make a hero call.

Depends on villain. I'd value bet against a more passive player and check it to a more aggressive player. Although an aggressive player might raise a draw on the flop.Based on this hand I bet the river, I don't think this villain is going to fire with missed draws very often so get some value out of your hand.
