Did I play this right?? Comments on all streets appreciated

PokerStars 1/2 Hold'em (10 handed) Poker-Stars Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: FlopTurnRiver)

Preflop: Hero is CO with J, J.
5 folds, MP3 raises, Hero 3-bets, 3 folds, MP3 calls.

Flop: (7.50 SB) 8, 7, 2 (2 players)
MP3 checks, Hero bets, MP3 raises, Hero 3-bets, MP3 calls.

I 3 bet here because I know the villain can be raising with A8, 99, TT, or even AK/AQ/AJ/AT spades. I thought if he capped the flop, I would be certain he had AA, KK, QQ, or a set. If not, I stay aggressive. Standard? Until...

Turn: (6.75 BB) A (2 players)
MP3 bets, Hero calls.

Is this a fold?

River: (8.75 BB) Q (2 players)
MP3 checks, Hero checks.

As played, is checking the river correct? I don't think I get a call from a worse hand.

Final Pot: 8.75 BB

Howe many of those hands raise/call flop then donk the turn when an Ace comes.

This isn't short handed.

Lots of retards donk when the ace "scare" card hits with those types of hands. They don't understand the difference between made hands and bluffing hands, turning made hands into bluffs, etc. Basically, people are retarded.

I think the river is close, for sure, but I think I bet.

there's value in it for sure. villain getting 10:1 on such a drawy board. it's super thin, but i weight a lot of his range on 99 and TT.
if you're not playing the notes in front of you it's not mozart.

I would say he checked the river because he put you on an ace when you called the turn bet

i told him that this hand makes him the worst player on the internet and that this was the gayest straight ever.

i then felt very clever.

Checking & betting the river are both acceptable plays. It's possible he hit the queen, with KQs. AKs is also possible. I lean towards checking.

Although, I might have raised the turn. The villian should only be that flop aggresive, with AK of spades, specifically. So, you can't fear it. It feels like 99 or TT. (However, at 1/2, it could be as weak as KsTs.) Would the villian call a river bet with this range. Maybe.

The way it was played, I would feel 50/50 about being the winner. That usually means check.

if i decide i might be good, i probably call down and maybe bet the river depending on the skill of the opponent.

or maybe...

i raise/fold the turn and take the free sd, betting again if i set up?

i do each about half the time. sometimes i fold the turn against certain opponents.

sometimes i bet/call the flop and raise the turn, too.

none of these are bad imo.

For those of you who still care, the villain showed down TT.

His turn donk confused the hell out of me. 95% of the time when I 3-bet people in position, I get checked to on the next street...so I was positive the ace helped him...but I really wanted to see his hand so I called.
