Understanding that variance is a part of a poker and all, what would you say is a successful average profit per month at these limits? I generally play 2 tables 6 handed.

Can't give an accurate guess without knowing how many hands per month you play.

Two tabling for like 40 hours on the month, would bring you to around 3000 hands (I'm guessing). Over 3k hands if you ran at around 5ptbb/100 that would be $1.00/100hands.

So that would be $30.00.

Adjust numbers for what fits you best. I think if you are beating the game at a sound rate you could do it for 5ptbb/100 though, which should be a goal of yours.

1st thing to learn about win rates, base it off /100 hands and not /month.

To rephrase your question: what would you say is a successful average profit per 100 hands at these limits?

Generally a win rate pf 5PTBB/100 hands is considered a good win rate, as stated before. (A PTBB is = to a big bet, so if the blinds are .05/.10, then a PTBB is .20) At a 10NL table, I think it is CERTAINLY possibly to sustain an 8PTBB/100 win rate.

To give you an idea, so far this month I have played ~12k hands at 10NL and am running pretty hot, at 10.5ptbb/100

Probably playing closer to 25 hrs per week.

OK, so if I'm doing this correctly you're running at a $252 (10.5PTBB/100) profit, $192 (8PTBB/100) is sustainable but very good, and $120(5PTBB/100) is decent

A realistic goal would be $65-105 on the month.

It would be much easier to win more if you could play 3-4 tables instead of 2, obviously don't do it if it's hurting you a lot. Just try and get 3 in til you get comfy with it, because then you see a lot more hands and it's not as much of a slow grind for you.

I am averaging 85 hands/hour/table. so you would be getting ~170 hands/hr x 25 hrs = 4250 hands/week = 42.5 sets of 100, at 10.5ptbb/100 ($2.10) that is ~$89.25/week = $380/month for 8ptbb it is ~$285 and for 5ptbb ~$180

I once asked a wise man what a good winrate for SHLHE was.

He replied, 'Anything better than 0BB/100 hands lol '

Ok the 'wise' man was acctualy Zach, but still, it's good advice.
