Question For The Techies

Recommended Posts

First you need to upload your picture to the internet. You can either do that on your own if you have a site, or use a hosting site like Imageshack. Once your pic is online and you have a url for it (like, http://www.imageshack.us/2343/mypic.jpg or something like that) then you just click the little image icon at the top of the page when you're posting. (it looks like a little square and is just under the 'fonts' dropdown box and says Insert Image when you hover over it) Paste your URL into that, and post, and boom you're set.Mark

Or, skip steps 1-2-3 and just right click on the graph itself, click "save as" and carry on from there.

I can't seem to do that on the website I use to track my stats. And I don't know enough about this computer stuff to know why. When I right click I can get a print option, but no save or cut/paste option.

A couple more questions:1) where's the "print screen" button?2) what's paint?
Should be on the top right of most keyboards i think, mines above just right of F12.Paint is a graphic modification/design program provided by microsoft, if you run on windows it should be in start>programs>accessories>paint.

Okay, I can get up to step 3 no problem now but I can't seem to figure out how to crop the image...*Edit: wait, I think I figured it out - but how do you get rid of all the stuff around the cropped piece so you just have what you cropped?

Tried it and got this warning:THE FOLLOWING ERROR(S) WERE FOUNDSorry, dynamic pages in the tags are not allowed
Yeah, you're linking to a website not the image. On the right of that page it says "direct link". Use that.

Yes, although it would be nice to have the graph fill the page without having all that white space around it. I'll play around more tonight and see if I can get it to work. This computer stuff is complicated...
