Ugly spot - Calling is out since he's aggro as he'll just fire on turn and unless we hit a 9, we're in the same position.I can find a fold here as this is a very marginal situation as either we're slightly ahead to two overs/draw/combo or crushed.

i drop it but will go broke w/jj+ here. reason why is if we're flipping against flush draws + overs, our equity changes a lot when we hold 99 or jj. I gave villain a loose range because well..you didn't tell us anything else about him :DText results appended to pokerstove.txt 77,220 games 0.004 secs 19,305,000 games/secBoard: 8c 5s 4cDead: equity win tie pots won pots tied Hand 0: 34.299% 34.28% 00.02% 26471 14.50 { 9c9d }Hand 1: 65.701% 65.68% 00.02% 50720 14.50 { TT+, 88, 55-44, A9s+, Ac7c, Ac6c, Ac5c, Ac3c, Ac2c, KcQc, KcJc, KcTc, QcJc, QcTc, JcTc, Jc9c, 75s+, 65s }---Text results appended to pokerstove.txt 69,300 games 0.002 secs 34,650,000 games/secBoard: 8c 5s 4cDead: equity win tie pots won pots tied Hand 0: 43.444% 42.15% 01.30% 29209 897.50 { JcJd }Hand 1: 56.556% 55.26% 01.30% 38296 897.50 { TT+, 88, 55-44, A9s+, Ac7c, Ac6c, Ac5c, Ac3c, Ac2c, KcQc, KcJc, KcTc, QcJc, QcTc, JcTc, Jc9c, 75s+, 65s }---

We're OOP so if we call we get first option on the turn.
I don't really like donk betting into an aggro and what I meant was that I doubt we'll get check/check on the turn so it'll probably go check/bet by villain and then we fold after putting in another $13 into the pot on the flop.Interesting stats from mikey - even with queens, we're not even at 50%.

Not too many hands on villain but he's tight and very aggressive. Something like 17/14/6.
Remove JJ+ from his range since I'm 99% sure he always re-raises these.

Why not? Don't big draws make up a huge portion of his range? Hands like 2 overs + FD or gutshot + FD. Doesn't our equity vs these hands change dramatically on the turn? Though the odds of a truely "safe" turn card are slim.

Like you said, there are few safe cards on the turn - I don't want to see a club, 6,7, or a high card. Also, villain could have 1010,67,88,55,44.I play full-ring and this is 6-Max but this is a perfect example of a marginal hand - if we had position on the villain, then it'd be a whole different story but I dump hands like this OOP if I don't like the flop texture, villain's tendencies and stack sizes.

i don't like calling and waiting for turn oop. too many cards that could come that would make u want to fold. Also you're giving villain the chance to check behind.get it in on the flop or foldo and w/the amt of money in the pot, u get it in w/Queens even as a slight underdog vs. that range. Altho the range I gave could be defined better
