I would have bet the turn as I don't want to give a free card as villain's flop raise would be standard if he wants to get a free card on turn. Calling the flop is fine for pot control and the preflop call is fine too as you're deep stacked and you close the action even though you're OOP for the rest of the hand.Villain raised preflop so I read him for AhKx or AhQx as very likely holdings. I insta-shove river.

Problem with that is it's gonna be tough to get all the money in if he has AK with no heart if i just bet out on the river. Even if i bet the full pot there's not gonna be enough money in the pot to shove the river.That's why i decided to c/r so i could get all the money in on the river. And i was pretty sure he'd bet.

depending on villains style (aggro/conservative)I really like the c/r on the turn for the reasons you mentioned.If hes more passive then you need to bet this turn and obviously bet the river.

i definitely lead the flop a bit harder $2.25-2.5. i think i like the smooth call on the raise. i unlike others do not hate the check (i'm sooooooo weak, you have the best hand) on the turn and the raise. river is standard. of course it does suck if he checks behind on the turn.

if hes an aggro opponent, then i like the check raise, if hes anything but super aggro then going for a check/raise is pretty bad.just clarifying

I think if you're going to check-raise the turn with the intention of getting it all in on any river, you should just push the turn. With a PF raise, a flop raise and a turn raise, he's playing like a set. The board pairing is ugly for you.

I liked the way you played this, i don't think this is a 'free card' play from the BB like ever because of the guy behind him, and once you're certain he's going to bet the turn i like the C/R a lot.Personaly i'd re-raise the flop to $18 but i think your way might be better because of stack sizes.
