Is this site any good?
Or should I just join through a rakeback site?

I play most of my poker at On Game and if you're intereted in playing there send me a PM with the details of their offer and I'll let you know if there are better ones out there for the Network.
The limit holdem games that I play in are Eurodonkerific.

On Game doesn't allow Americans to play. That's one of the reasons that it's Eurodonkerific.

I've heard some similiar stories about Mansion. I assume your friend is American. When they stopped allowing Americans to play they weren't very good about making it easy for Americans to get their money out in a lot of cases.

He tried to get in that $120 freeroll football et, got in too late, played about 30 minutes of $3/$6 and lost $500 while I watched, I told him online was not for him. Since then it's been emails back and forth and lost notices on their part, and after jumping through every hoop, it's been 4 months and no wire transfer back.
I was hoping to find someone that plays onMansion that would trade me for Pstars so I could cash him out and have a little something to play with online, but I know that FCP frowns on asking for that kind of transfer so I haven't ( until now)

To be honest I'm not sure that Mansion even allows interaccount transfers. The network as a whole doesn't allow them.

Why would they do that? Seems to me that they are interfering with what I want to do with my money.
Or is it a collusion defense?

When Poker Room launched they were dead set against inter account transfers and the On Game network started with Poker Room. I sent them an e-mail about it when I played there in probably 2002 and they seemed to think that only cheating bastards would want to transfer money.
There are a few reasons why a site wouldn't want to allow transfers.
1. There is a lot of deposit fraud and limiting transfers makes it more difficult for them.
2. Bonus abuse. They are afraid that first time bonuses can be more easily abused if you allow transfers.
3. It means more work for the site.
I think it's in the best interests of a site to allow inter-account transfers as there are ways to deal with all of the issues that go with them.

When Mansion closed their doors to US players, the process to cash out was seamless. I had to fax them some address info and such but after that, the wire transfer went smoothly.
This was quite awhile ago though - things may have changed
I still miss their 100K guarantees with about 30K-40K in overlays every day....
