AimHigher 0
No reads on BB.Noticed that CO is loose/bad, in an earlier hand he called with K3 against a MP raise and a re-raise from the SB. MP folded and he called the SB's bets down with a pair of 3s and felted him.PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em, $0.02 BB (6 handed) Poker-Stars Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: FlopTurnRiver)CO ($1.44)Button ($5.15)Hero ($4.98)BB ($3.41)UTG ($1.92)MP ($1.80)Preflop: Hero is SB with J, Q. UTG calls $0.02, 1 fold, CO calls $0.02, 1 fold, Hero completes, BB checks.Flop: ($0.08) 8, T, Q(4 players)Hero checks, BB checks, UTG checks, CO bets $0.04, Hero raises to $0.12, BB calls $0.12, UTG folds, CO calls $0.08.Not sure about the check-raise, typically OOP I check-call in this spot for pot control, (not sure if that is even correct) but here I decided to check-raise since I knew the opponent was loose. I was a little surprised when BB called.Turn: ($0.44) Q(3 players)Hero bets $0.4, BB raises to $0.8, CO raises to $1.3, Hero raises to $4.84, BB calls $2.47 (All-In).Did I donk bet the turn? After the CO shoves I decided to shove and create a side pot with the SB. River: ($4.34) 8(3 players, 1 all-in)Final Pot: $9.
sactownjoey 0
In my opinion, bet the best hand every time you get it at this level. All my money would have been in the pot after the turn.
ROBBBIGG 0
I play the hand the exact same.edit: elaborationPF: jq in the sb is good enough to call but OOP I think it's a leak to raise with. You want to build pots in position unless you have a monster.Flop: with so many people in the pot, I'd rather villain's bet and check raise. My hand is pretty good here and worst case I have a redraw.Turn: Villains are showing interest, so let's build the pot. By the time we see two raises, we're looking at j9 sooo often from at least one of them. However, I don't think I'm folding when CO is all in and it's only like 2 more bucks from the BB. If I'm up against J9 and AQ I have a redraw to split with J9 and beat AQ (hitting a 9) and a redraw to split with AQ and beat J9 (hitting an 8, J, or T).River: Yes! Wait he doesn't have 88 does he? The thing about trips is that our hand is not disguised and the villain knows we are likely holding trips when we bet hard. Trips can be a trouble hand.

Although people have said I played it fine I stumbled my way through the hand and if I made the correct decisions it was probably for the wrong reasons.Do you think that the BB could have been playing this hand with a weaker Q? His call on the flop didn't make much sense to me.

TP+GS is pretty good but 4way it isn't too strong, especially to check-raise. In lhe, go for it, even 3bet! But this isn't a hand we want to go all in with. Leading out for value is much better than check-raising. then again, $2 nl could play drastically different and ppl might stack off w/JT here. But as you go higher, check-raising here is suicidal.
