I have started playing more aggressive lately after reading "Hold'em Wisdom for All Players". I've started to follow the advice of 5x the big blind when raising since I consider myself an middle skill poker player. I have been winning more pots in tournaments, but I run across one problem. After losing a large pot play aggressively and am short stacked I tend to do one of two things, I either start to play extremely tight and end up missing hands, or I sit out a few hands and then continue aggressive style play. Which is the right strategy to continue to follow, or is there a better option?

If a big pot puts you off your game it's better to take a break or walk and cool off. I like to re-load and pretend that I'm on tilt, sometimes you will catch the cards to stack them right back.
