sactownjoey 0
I was multitabling so no specific reads. Table plays mostly passive. Button and CO are perfect trap opportunities, they frequently 3-bet/all in to any raise post flop. Villain is BB and had been at the table for about 5 minutes, played one small pot and won it with uncalled bet on turn after checked flop. I could have played this hand a number of different ways throughout so any comment on all decisions welcome.Full Tilt No-Limit Hold'em, $0.50 BB (9 handed) Full Tilt Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: FCP)CO ($49.75)Button ($42)SB ($14.60)BB ($50.70)UTG ($63.10)UTG+1 ($20) (Sitting out)MP1 ($19.65)MP2 ($14.25)Hero ($53.15)Preflop: Hero is MP3 with A , T . NoBBiR 0
Uh? Why didn't you bet the flop? Why didn't you raise the turn? Why aren't you raising the river? I don't get it. I'd make it $6-$7 or something, and probably call a reraise. The BB often has Ace Crap here, and rarely has us beat unless he has 33. Stop playing so darn passively!

I played A10s like A5s in MP. Limp, hit flop hard and go for max value.2. Wanted to let two players keep betting into me. No draw on board I thought one of them would try protecting their hand more. EDIT: This was hugely flawed thinking now that I read this sentence again. Ugh.3. Same as 2.4. Tried to max value here.

Temporary Nuts 1
My thinking at the time was ZOMG I FLOPPED TRIPS BETTER SLOW PLAYOh word
sactownjoey 0
Oh wordLOL, yup. The passive table made me think that I would scare everyone off with a bet on the flop. Thinking about it, MP2 very well might have c/r me with a bet in position. I did raise to $7 on the river and got called. Should have included that info.
AcesOnFire 0
I raise this preflop in this situation 50%+ of the time.I check that flop, but I raise the turn and river.

You never bet.
Zach6668 513
You should probably try to put some money into the pot when you flop three aces.
Craigdog 0
you played it bad buddy. If you limped and waited to hit the flop hard then why did you check the flop, and just call the turn?????????
sactownjoey 0
As I said, it was a passive table and I was afraid any raise was going to kill all the action. Having to do it all over again, I would have bet the flop and raised any bet to me on the turn.

sactownjoey 0
I expected any hand w/o a K to try and showdown as cheaply as possible. I expected the same from any pp.
Sheiky 0
I'm not sure about raising PF as i never play FR.After the flop though, you seem to be aiming to get as little money in the pot as possible, no offence.Slowplaying is very very rarely correct, it's no where near the right play here. If you bet at a passive table it doesn't mean they will fold. Passive =/= weak.It would be a good idea to read No Limit Hold 'Em: Theory and practice. It covers ares like extracting value from a hand well.

Either way, I agree that betting the flop, raising the turn would have been the best way to play it.
