NoBBiR 0
Station doesn't really know what he's doing. He limps too much, he raises bad hands too much, he reraises stupid hands, he tries to bluff too much, and calls down way too much.LAG villain is same from the other hand. Raises or limps every hand. Plays back too much, etc. Standard LAGtard.5 Handed, .25/.25Hero, $120, has 8 4 on Button.LAG Villain, $140, UTG.Loose Call Station, $60, BB.LAG Villain limps UTG.Folds to Hero, who limps.SB checks.BB Loose Station checks.Pot: $1Flop: J 6 7 :spade:SB checks, BB station checks, LAG Villain bets $1. Hero raises to $3 almost instantly. SB folds. BB station villain overcalls. LAG villain ponders and calls.Pot: $10Turn: 4 :heart:BB station checks, LAG villain checks, Hero checks?Pot: $10River: 10 :club:BB station checks, LAG checks, Hero bets $6, BB station calls, LAG folds.Do most of you fire the turn here? throwemaway 0
Against these opponents on the turn, no I don't fire. I even contemplate checking behind on the river because against 2 of these guys, one who is a station, I think you get looked up too muchI also fold preflop..Even w/the button, 84 is pretty freaking lousy
sactownjoey 0
You said it already. Station calls too much and you can't get him to lay down a marginal hand. It sounds like he overvalues his hands already. Don't get sucked into playing his game by limping on the button thinking you have position and can outplay him.
Acid_Knight 2
You're a donk :)I'd play a little more straight forward when there are a brazillion people who see the flop.
Cappy37 0
Fold preflop. Taking 84 suited, even for a minimal amount, into at least your 2 villains who don't lay down easily, is hugely -EV. Having position isn't even that big of a deal, considering you aren't going to be getting folds or able to call bets in the first place. You aren't even closing the action here. You have two players that will give you ridiculous + weak action on your big hands. Absolutely 0 reason to try and "outsmart" them with meager holdings. This table will generate you profit, but you are going to have to be willing to play a pretty boring ABC game to get it.You could argue that it might be profitable to get to a showdown cheaply here to show you are capable of playing 84, but meh.. I don't like it.
NoBBiR 0
You're a donk :)I'd play a little more straight forward when there are a brazillion people who see the flop. The reason I raised the flop was that the lagtard was basically betting everytime he was checked to, but he does respect me. Usually the station doesn't check/call two bets, but that certainly doesn't mean he is strong.Fold preflop. I don't like it.The reason I did and am going to continue to limp 84s and every other small suited connector - of any gapping - is that this game people go broke with TPNK, so flopping two pair is like flopping a free buy-in. I guess I probably should have mentioned that. The other players, with the exception of 1-2 are absolutely terrible. There is literally an all-in every other hand at this table on the flop or turn, and it usually turns out to be TP over TP better kicker.
mikeysong 0
WHOAWHOA WHOA WHOAyou already described villains to be stationish so why bluff them? Do you really want to try for a 200bb bluff? I have and I've failed, although both times imo villains made sick calls. However, do you really have the heart for that? It's not worth it. These are stations, your success rate for bluffing is very low, especially multiway.NOWthe biggest part I'm surprised about here is being told to fold preflop. NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO WAY. This deep, I'm for sure calling with 84s. Implied odds up the butt man! Smallest stack in this 3way pot is 200+bbs. And we got ULTIMATE POSITION?! MMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMI call or raise here all day long. If it went raise, call, or even raise and action to me, I'm for sure coldcalling. If you keep your head straight, just value bet well and station will be handing over BBs by the 100s. mmm.

I could get behind raising ATC against opponents who can fold, but it's just spew here.

Although it's probably more favorable w/pocket pairs against these types of villains.
TheWanderer 0
Against these opponents, I wouldn't try to bluff.
