Call, Raise River? Made Flush

Recommended Posts

I wasnt sure what to make of his $1 bets. I assumed they were blocking bets. When the river hits, should I just call his raise? Was I wrong to re-raise? I just thought he played the hand very weird, and I wasnt sure what to put him on...PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em, $0.50 BB (9 handed) Poker-Stars Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: FlopTurnRiver)Hero ($57.95)SB ($11.15)BB ($70)UTG ($50)UTG+1 ($7.80)MP1 ($66.05)MP2 ($51.45)MP3 ($56.20)CO ($62.65)Preflop: Hero is Button with 6spade.gif, Kspade.gif. 6 folds, Hero raises to $1.5, 1 fold, BB calls $1.Flop: ($3.25) 8spade.gif, Jheart.gif, 9spade.gif(2 players)BB bets $1, Hero raises to $4, BB calls $3.Turn: ($11.25) 3club.gif(2 players)BB bets $1, Hero raises to $6, BB calls $5.River: ($23.25) Tspade.gif(2 players)BB bets $1, Hero raises to $13, BB raises to $25, Hero raises to $46.45, BB calls $21.45.Final Pot: $116.15

Your turn raise, is too small, IMO. At that point though, I prob just call to hit my flush cheaply. I stick it on this river, as well, as played.A good way to deal with these bets, btw, is to just pretend they didn't actually happen, and act accordingly (not forgetting the info they provide, though). That's why I think your turn raise is too small. Probably your river raise, as well.

I like the PF and the flop raise.I'm not sure, but i think it's better to flat call the turn or raise it to $10 rather than raising to $6, though i'd like people's opinions on that.

Yes. Definitely. Does anybody just call his river 3 bet? Cuz I think I do..

I think its a pretty big mistake to not push against a drooler here even with the 3 card straight flush. Ive seen retards play a bare Q like this.

I agree. I think being afraid of the Nut flush and SF combo's is kind of weak. If your opponent is a rock, I guess you could argue just calling.
