So Beaver posed this question for me in AIM today and we started chatting about it but I'm really not sure what would be harder to win..Sunday Million: HUGE field..Your going to run into a fair amount of donks, but you are also going to need to get lucky a few times and continue to hold in huge pots...Winning races is essential and its not exactly a deep stacked structure where you can pick and choose huge +ev spots Sunday freezeout: For all you who don't know what this is about, its a 5200 dollar freezeout, 20 players, really tough field and a deep stacked structure...5K stacks, 25/50 and 60 min blind levels with antes from the start...Must emphasize how tough the field is...This is the first week they are playing it but Barry Greenstein, Gigabet, aperfectgent, and a ton of other good online pros are playing in it...It also is a winner take all tourneyI initially said that the Sunday Mil would be much harder to win because of the duration of the tourney, but after thinking about how overmatched I would be playing shorthanded and HU with a good pro, I wasn't sure...What do you guys think? Beaver, also feel free to include whatever else we said via AIM if I forgot some of the other points we made

This could be one of the most retarded questions in the history of the world.Thats like asking which was harder to win, the first ever WSOP ME or the current ME.

This answer is easy. TJ won the sunday mil, but has not won the 5200, so therefore, the sunday mil is easier.

Think about it more than just "omg this isn't even close"Not one of these guys is going to donk off his stack to you..They are all solid players..There isn't going to be anyone satelliting in..There isn't going to be a bubble to abuse and crush weak/tight players..I still think its the Sunday Mil, but its not as obvious as a lot of you are making it sound

A bit exaggerated, IMO.To me it's pretty obvious. But what about some other tournaments? where would you rank the following in difficulty? (obviously more input from people who consistently play these would be better...)100rsunday million$5200 freezeout50r100k gtdetc.... Tourneys from other sites I suppose could be included.Obviously weight needs to be given to tourneys with the field consisting of mostly pro players, as well as tourneys like the sunday million with ridiculous amounts of people entering.

dude, lets say the average player in the 5.2k is 1,000% the player you are. Thats 200-1 odds of winning.Lets say you are 600% better than the average sunday million player. That's 600-1 odds of winning. And that's not factoring in that players going deep in the SM shud be better than players getting knocked out early. Seriously, it's not close at all

im still not sold that many of these people that get these big online scores are winners when it comes to the live game, which, by the way, is real poker.

I think the 100k could be the hardest to win because its a Turbo and a lot of the action is forced. You're gonna have to run insanely good and get really lucky to take that one down.I think any $109 buyin is pretty difficult to win. The fields are always tough and theres a lot of good players once you make it into the money. The sunday mill has to be the toughest though simply for the time of play involved and having to dodge that many bullets.

Freezeout, one 10k FPP satty each week to it, 5k starting, blinds start 25/50/10, cards being shown, was supposed to be rakefree but isn't, stars is expected to get a bunch of their pros to play each week. They fubared the structure though, they'll fix it once more people to complain to make it 10 or 15k starting.
