I've written and rewritten this line of thinking a dozen times this last week, but have never posted. This time, for sure.Pokerroom forum, Texas Hold'em, Thread topic: A note for MTT players.Throughout the thread there are numerous statements that basically admit to collusion. I know there are friends online just as in B&M. To some extent I expect it. Besides, even if you suspect it, how do you prove it? I recently played in the 100+10 weekly. During this tournament, as it got to the money, (top 40), there was a great deal of stalling. I was watching all tables, on one table (with the 41st position) there were post where players were telling thier cards and intended actions. And one post where one player said he was going to "donate" to the 41st position to get that player to the money. With this put out in full view the way it was, its as if some of these players don't understand that what they are doing is wrong. They even defend thier actions. Unreal. Is this going on at other sites as well?

To a certain extent I think it does go on everywhere, but I don't really see that as all out collusion. Collusion is more or less calling someone on the phone and telling someone to raise you after you bet when you have a big hand to make everyone else call and get even more money in the pot.... the examples you have given don't necessarily inidcate collusion.

My bad, you are right. Those examples are of rule violations. The following are posts taken from both the main chat lobby and the forum thread that fit collusion: A few of the group members post in the forum:"Yes, I was a member of (Group), and yes I left. The main deal was, because of the respect we've had for fellow members, the general consensus was we wouldn't actively attack another (Group member) making a move on a pot and avoid attacking each others blinds with nothing""As far as I am concerned if a (Particular Group) busts out another (Group) member or puts a move on his / her blinds then I have a serious problem! That is not to say we fold AA against each other but we have to go easy on one another until we are heads up. Then we go all out! This is the way to play smart!"Chat lobby:(Group member): "wanna play a MD qualifier?"(Other member): "I already have a ticket, but I can help you win oneVarious others. I believe to a certain extent it goes on everywhere. B&M as well. And to some extent, the only thing is to understand it happens. It just seems that lately its gotten much worse. Or perhaps after a few times where its affected me directly I notice a bit more.
