ajs510 122 Posted December 12, 2007 Share Posted December 12, 2007 Looks like Atlanta might be freeing up some roster and cap space for a trade, wondering if they might be a likely partner for whatever Anaheim is going to do to get Scotty Niedermayer back on the roster. Even with Recchi coming in, this still leaves Atlanta with an open spot on the roster. I can't imagine that Haydar won't get picked up by somebody, so the Thrashers basically sacrificed him for whomever is on the way. I'm shocked by the fact that you guys pay enough attention to random, Southern market teams to've noticed this, too.What's the best, most frequently updated place to watch for this stuff? For pure hockey discussion, I go to hfboards.com (Hockey's Future boards), there's a seperate board for fans of all 30 teams, plus Trade rumors, Prospects, etc. Like Jeffstrat said, Gruven usually has the backchannel info, but he doesn't like looking like Eklund (www.hockeybuzz.com) so he generally doesn't say anything about the rumors flying around the NHL unless he's 90% that something will come of it. I think Atlanta basically has to be wrangling for a forward, I'm just not sure if the trade will be small potatoes or if there's a blockbuster involving Hossa in the works. My evening last night, for instance, was spent alternately reading up on celeberity gossip and watching low-quality streaming porn. That very post, actually, was typed while I was leaning back in my chair, with a sweat sock stuck to my by-then-placid pecker -- as much with the adhesive cling of languor as with that of the semen.
